lot of 2 Jones Photo flash brackets or arms slide-in style
You are bidding on one lot of two Jones Photo camera flash brackets as pictured. Both are similar in size and design. Both are marked"JHB 2-A" on the arms. And both have similar but different JONES decals as shown. The lower end is shaped like the flange on a flash unit. With a width of just under 3/4" One has a thumbscrew to clamp it down on that end, while the other is missing the thumbscrew. Both have a thumbscrew that controls the tilt of the arm, which can move slightly to adjust the angle of the flash relative to the camera. At the upper end, both have another thumbscrew with standard 1/4" threads. All I have is what is shown. I did not get any shoes for the upper ends. Condition of both is very good. Hi up for sale is lot of 4 antique cast metal wall sconces. There are 2 with two arms and 2 with one arm. They have a shield like motif. The double armed ones are 9 1/2" tall at the center part. And about 9 1/2" across. They stick out 3 1/4" the paper socket covers that look like candles are 5" tall, they have some wear. The single ones are 9 1/2" tall and 4 1/2" across. All have turn switches toward the bottoms, all have the hangers that the finials go through the centers, one is already attached in the pic. They are in good shape, have some finish wear. This listing is for a MATCHING PAIR of knole- knoll sofas. rachet arms raise or lower arms mechanically[If you watch Downton Abbey you will be familiar with the red velvet sofa in the drawing room/living room. That is a Knole/Knoll sofa except I've never seen it with the arms down. Th e arms on that sofa would be held in place with fancy cording wrapped around the two dowels. they would not have arms that can be raised and lowered mechanically(by hand) as my pair of sofas are. These true vintage sofas have been owned by my family since the early 1950s when they were bought from an estate in Greenwich. CT. At that time they were upholstered in an exquisite gold raw silk. I have never seen any marks on them to establish them as being made by Knoll(or Knole) but don't know where to look. 2 Antique German Pincushion Half dolls Blue Dutch Girl broken arms & finger
This is a set of 2 antique German pincushion or half doll. They are lovely blue dutch girl with great details. They have light short sleeved blue tops accented with white and blue v collar. They have two color blue dutch caps with ruffled edges all around the back. Both hands are away and free from the body. Unfortunately both dolls have borken arms One doll has one arm that is broken off just above ther elbow The other arm although intact is missing a thumb on her hand. The other doll also has a broken arm this one above the elbow but I have the piece and it can be repaired, there is glue on the pieces as it was repaired once but did not hold, this is why I am not gluing it as it should be repaired professionally. 18th C. ITALIAN BRONZE REPOUSSE 2 HANDLED WATER VESSEL w MEDICI COAT OF ARMS
MORE PHOTOS BELOW You are bidding on a 18th century or possibly even older two handled water vessel with two coat of arms. One on each side. One of these is the famous Medici coat of arms with lions on each side of a shield with six round balls. The other side has a coat of arms also and may possibly also be a Medici symbol but I am not sure. The vessel is made of solid bronze and has a beautiful old pate verte patina. The handles are applied with bronze rivets and have nice appropriate wear. No makers mark. The workmanship is quite good and is probably the work of a known Florentine craftsman. I am not sure of the age of this piece but do believe it is at very least 18th century. The designs are beautifully rendered with a repousse technique. Measures approx. 10 1/2 inches tall. It is approx. 13 inches wide at the handles. The body of the ... morepot is approx. 10 inches wide. Weighs approx. 6 lbs before packing. CONDITION: Good. No breaks and no repairs. Up for auction is an antique 1/6 Plate tinype of 2 young men in a case. The top of the case is separated from the bottom and it is held together with scotch tape. When closed the case measures 3 1/4" by 3 3/4" The outside of the case shows light wear but it is in good condition. The decorative felt opposite of the picture is in good condition with only a little fading. The image is sharp and clear. The men are well dressed and have interlocking arms. The words"Ua Mau Ke Ea O Ka'Aina I Ka Pono" are written on the bottom front as you can see in the picture. It was made in the 1970s by a famous local jeweler in Honolulu. Only 2 were made. As stated in the Red book this coinage mostly failed as the copper was too brassy so not many were put into circulation. A rare coin. Also in this auction I include the 12 deniers which has the exact design as the 6 and is just as rare and circulated along with the Red book coin. There just isn't enough room in the Red book to list all the coins that circulated in Colonial America. But these 2 surely did. The bottom screw sections of the sockets are all in excellent condition. No dents or cracks There are a few very tiny dimples on the side of the bottom tier between the arms of the center section.
