This is a Lithium Iodide NEUTRON or SOFT GAMMA scintillator assembly. It is very small and operates at 500 to 1250V. The cesium iodide crystal was salvaged from a neutronrae pager type detector module. As it is supplied. It will detect soft gamma and x-rays as well as neutrons very efficiently. This is even quite desirable for finding actinides like plutonium or americium. If the goal is neutron detection you should encase the the detector crystal(metal part on the end) with a minimum of 1/2 inch of lead. The PMT unit is several orders of magnitude more sensitive than the original PIN photo diode was. The bias string is set at 100Meg so it will work with most common Geiger counters. I left the bias string in component form to allow you to use your own resistance values if using this probe for special purposes. It is a heavy chalkware advertising display of a Scotsman dressed in a red and green plaid outfit with kilt that was meant to hold a bottle of Seaforth Shaving Lotion as a retail counter display. This piece measures approx. 10 inches tall. I would date this piece from the 1940's- 1950's. This piece shows the advertising prominently on the base near his feet it is inscribed Seaforth for Men! This would have been a counter display in the men's section of a department or drug store. It's in very nice vintage condition. It shows overall surface wear due to age and use. There are places where there is surface/color loss which has exposed the white chalk surface underneath. The ... morelargest of these areas is on his back. There is a crack in the base that has been repaired years ago and you can see the damage in the pictures. There are also some surface chips. Original rare 19th century oak counter / bar top change machine brandt coin op
Up for auction is an original late 19th century. Oak, counter/ bar top change machine. This machine was designed for bankers/ sellers to give proper change during various money transactions. This is the same concept as a Brandt change machine but much earlier. The user would pull out the brass slides to make up the loose change to give to the customer as correct change. There are 6 slides for coinage of 1/ 5/ 10/ 25/ 50 and 1.00 coins. There are counters in the chrome for each domination. These tube/slides are loaded from the top and there is a lock on the side to lock the machine from functioning. It appears the two lockable drawers 1 and 2 were used either to hold folding money or hold extra coinage. The dollar slide is broken as shown and also there is a piece broken on the inside of the 1 cent slot. SJOBERG Counter-Top Aluminum CAN CRUSHER Model W021. As seen in the photos instead of being all white as it was when purchased the plastic is a pale yellow(second photo shows true color best) This is a result from being on a counter and exposed to a lot of light. Plastic is not damaged from that, just yellowed, but fortunately it is very evenly discolored over the entire outside if the unit. I never had the manual, being that I purchased it used, so I don’t know about normal operation of the crusher but here are a couple of things that I noticed while using the device. It operates fine but you need to open the lid all the way when loading cans for it to turn on when lid is closed, which it automatically does when lid is closed. It does not have an auto lock for the lid so you need to manually hold it closed while it crushes. Machine will ... moreautomatically shut off if the crushed can holder is pulled out as if to be emptied, which would be a normal safety function. I did notice that the red tab on the top left side of the crushed can holder when pulled down will lock the lid when shut but the machine won’t turn off until you manually pop the lid open again so I would recommend not pulling the red tab down. Again I never had an instruction manual so I don’t know what the function of that red tab is. But machine operates fine if the tab is left alone. Machine makes an automatic clicking noise of about five or six clicks when it finishes crushing and when the crushed can holder is pulled out, which would be a normal function to let you know not to try to operate the machine until the clicking stops, which is about 4 or 5 seconds. If there is ever a time when it won’t automatically shut off after crushing a can then open and close the lid. The only time that happened to me was when I pulled that red tab or restarted the machine after pulling out the can holder when the machine was in operation, basically doing things that shouldn’t be done, but I only did those things to completely test all operating functions. Vintage Clark Teaberry Gum Counter Display Stand RARE VIOLET COLOR Circa 1928 We are pleased to offer for sale this great vintage Clark Teaberry Gum display stand. These pieces were used for display on counters back in the 1920's. Usually they were clear glass or Vaseline glass. This is a rare violet color which makes this piece quite unique. This stand is 6 7/8" wide and a little over 3" tall and is embossed on all four sides of the base with CLARKS TEABERRY GUM. The condition is really nice. The surfaces are clear and shiny with no signs of use. There is the tiniest flea bite on the top edge, you have to really inspect it closely to see it. There is a small area of roughness on one of the curved edges of the base. It is toward the top under the plate so it's not at all noticeable. This is a wonderful collectible piece ... moreand could have any number of uses and what a great conversation piece. I'd love to know it's history. Fleer Yellow Dubble Bubble Gum Display Baseball Card Counter Box
I am not sure of the age but it looks to be a hard to find 1940’s or 50’s Double Bubble Gum counter display box. It is marked Double Bubble with logos on the long sides and“Fleer’s since 1885” on the short sides. The bottom is marked“Scientific Research Inc. Glenside PA 2” I believe this was used for the display of baseball cards on the counter for sale. It is in excellent vintage condition with no cracks or breaks of any kind. Measures 7 7/8” long 5” wide and 1 7/8” tall. It will come professionally packed and shipped.

Welcome Vintage General Store Counter Display Large Necco Candies Jar A beautiful and original vintage Necco Candies glass canister with the original metal painted screw on lid. I have had this jar displayed(had cookie cutters in it) in my home for over 25 years. The jar is 10 inches tall and approximately 6 inches wide. It has a great Art Deco design on all sides of the jar. There are no cracks. Or repairs in the glass. There is a chip on the inside rim that does not show when the lid is on. The bottom has wear which is what you want to see in an older piece of utilitarian glass. The lid has worn paint and scratches. That is the original black paint on the lid. The lid screws on and off as it should.
