Pancake Probe Element Geiger Counter For Parts or Demonstration SteamPunk Parts
This auction is for a non working Geiger Counter Pancake Probe Element that has had it's mica membrane removed to show the internal parts of the probe. I'm unsure of the probe manufacturer as it wasn't one of the better known makers. Like Ludlum. It began with a K and had a butterfly logo. Some of the detail of the logo was lost when I attempted to clean off the back of the probe. This element is similar to the ones used in the Ludlum 44-9 pancake probes and was in great working condition prior to the removal of the membrane. The insides of the probe show the anodes and cathodes with their unique configurations. This is a great piece for demonstration or as a collectible steam punkstyle item. Please look carefully at the photos to get a better idea of the true shape and condition this piece is in. Antique 1880s Hotel Front Desk Reception Tap Call Service Counter Bell
I have up for sale a very nice vintage original circa later 1800s Hotel Tap Service Bell. The bell has excellent sound.Rings clear and true. It has an ornate base with pierced designs, stands approx 5-3/4" to the top/ tapper section. The bell part is nickel plated and the base appears to be Cast Iron with brass type plated finish. There is some wear to the finish but no damages. There is no maker indicated anywhere that I can see. This comes from the estate of an old Antique Dealer that passed away last year, she was in her 90s and this came from her estate. It has bold graphics on the front and a hinged glass front door. It also has the matte that held the scissors on display(see 2 nd picture) and provided the pricing embossed in gold. I removed the matte to show the door better in other pictures. It has two hinged rear doors which open up to reveal the 18 original storage boxes where the scissors were kept. Each storage box is well made with box joints and they are all labeled with the scissor type and the price. Once a customer chose the type of scissors they wanted. Mirror Antique Store Counter Shaving Oval Swivel Brass Copper and Iron Base
A very stylish antique beveled glass oval vanity or retail store display counter mirror. Appears to date to the late 1800`s or early 1900`s and is in very good working and cosmetic condition. The oval mirror is encased in a formed copper plated steel casing. The two telescoping vertical posts are solid brass and are nicely polished. The back of the mirror appears to be a solid slice of walnut or similar wood. The single wing nut on the top of the vertical brass columns loosens and tightens to raise and lower the mirror. The top wing nut allows the oval part to tilt 180 degrees. The mirror will swivel 360 degrees. It also raises from a height of 21 1/2 inches to a maximum of 28 1/2 inches. Overall the mirror and weighted base weigh 9 pounds and 7 ounces as pictured. The metal surfaces are lightly polished. 1940s SYLVANIA RADIO TUBES COUNTER DISPLAY RACK - ADVERTISING STORE VINTAGE NBC
This original SYLVANIA RADIO TUBES RETAIL COUNTER DISPLAY RACK dates to the 1940s- the early logo was used between 1942 and 1947. According to logo tracking websites. Given metal shortages during the war, I'm assuming this is from 1945-47. The metal display is in original unrestored condition; the paint is almost entirely intact and the rack is rust-free. Stands solidly, and is designed to be displayed standing or to be hung on a wall using pre-drilled holes on the back. The rack is 19 1/2" wide, 9" 1/2 deep and stands about 10 1/2" tall. It is assembled with small screws; the top sign is riveted to the top tray. I will disassemble it for shipping unless the buyer wishes to pay additional shipping costs. See photos for a closer look. There's some paint on the side panels and under the bottom tray(it was likely done ... moreby accident when some workshop bench was repainted) The trays have minor dings and dents and light scratches from ordinary use. Four removable dividers are placed on the top two trays. The header piece is in fantastic condition and the logos and letters are in excellent condition. The rack has general wear and some surface grime which would look even better with a proper cleaning; I like to leave these things in original condition. All in all. Up for auction is this fabulous antique 34-drawer counter top store display cabinet with old metal advertising sign for HUMPHREYS' SPECIFICS being offered"as is as found" it is in a somewhat distressed state- or as we like to call it- all original primitive patina" There is wear to the wood finish and the metal sign. There is a piece broken off the base- just needs to be reattached(it will be included) it also shows the expected chips and dings consistent with it's use, age and storage. The metal sign is wonderful, deep turquoise/teal blue background with off-white writing listing the 35 uses for HUMPHREYS' WITCH HAZEL OIL, the trade mark image at the top- a pretty nude woman with lion is beautiful. The other side of the case has 34 drawers with knobs- not all of the knobs match, there are some small wooden knobs, ... moresome a bit larger, some just have a nail and some are missing altogether; though, all of the drawers are present. There are 30 smaller top drawers that measure 3 1/2 inches across by 5 1/4 inches deep and 2 3/4 inches high, of these 30, 6 are divided in half on the inside. The 4 larger drawers on the bottom measure 8 3/4 inches across, 5 1/4 inches deep and 3 1/2 inches high- of the 4- 2 are divided into thirds on the inside and the bottom 2 are divided in half on the inside. The total height of the cabinet is 27 1/2 inches high, 21 1/2 inches across and almost 9 3/4 inches deep- weighs almost 35 pounds. Believe it is oak due to the exquisite grain that is visible and the weight. It is of very good solid construction, the case is not loose or wobbly, though some of the drawers do stick. At one time- in it's history, it was used to hold nails and other hardware, there are still old scraps of paper indicating what was inside. There is also some old writing in what looks like black grease pencil- mostly numbers. All in all, a superbly authentic primitive cabinet with unlimited possibilities.
