Both physically and electrically. It has some very minor marks, barely noticeable. This meter has been used as an audio-frequency measurement instrument. It hasn't been calibrated in some time, but the meter measures accurately on test voltages. All function ranges work well, and the meter itself is responsive. This is HP's"⅔" module. Antique Portable Voltmeter/ Ammeter NICE CASE scientific instrument apparatus We offer a great portable Voltmeter and Ammeter setup in a nice early case. Instrument measures approximately 10.5 by 3 x 6 inches. Add.75 inches for the knobs. Foxing/browning to the meters. The Volts side has terminals for 0. 25, and 125. The Amperes side has terminals for 0, 2, and 10. On the paper labels it notes BCE 15 and No 2185. There is what may be a logo underneath the Volt and Amperes words on the labels, but we're not sure who it is made by. It sure is a sweet piece of display gear though! Early brass handle and push-button to open. Plate in rear with screws to open, and 2 larger screws in the base(opposite the terminals) We don't know if this works or not. And in shaking it gently we hear a bit of rattling- this could be the spring mechanisms ... morefor the scales or something else, but we're not comfortable about opening it up. So we're selling it as is, and will answer whatever questions we can. It came from an old collection in NY state. I do think the glass was probably replaced at some point, not an unusual thing for a working instrument in the field. All said, a great display piece, and for you tinkerers out there a fun one to open up and play with no doubt. Please see photos for condition and some content.
