Please note: I am selling this on behalf of a friend who's father has passed away. He owned an electronics repair shop and now family is selling off his entire inventory of equipment. All proceeds will go to his widow. As for the unit. All of the equipment he owned was fully functional and in good condition. He was a magician with his hands. If he couldn't fix it, it couldn't be fixed. This appears to have all the attachments and manuals with it, including the power cord in the original commercial case. Heathkit TT-1A Good used condition. Case shows some wear. This is a very well respected unit. And it works great! Has been completely serviced with new electrolytic capacitors. A very interesting tube tester from Precise Development Co. The model 111 is a full function mutual conductance and emission tube tester that tests almost every type of tube a radio or audio collector is likely to need. What I found interesting was that many early tubes are listed on the roll chart. O1A. 99, 112 and many others not commonly found on most roll charts. The Precise 111 has ability to test tubes for both emission and mutual conductance. It can use 6 different plate voltages. 3 screen voltages and various signal voltage values, it also has very good gas check and ability to measure filament current. Measuring data is condensed in roll chart. Included is a copy of the manual with interesting sections on using the 111 with a scope to derive curves and testing new[not listed in the roll chart] tubes from data in tube manuals. The ... moretester is in very nice condition. working and very clean inside. roll chart moves freely. Elaborate setup procedure is more like a lab quality tester than a service level tester. Both the 5U4 and 6X4 tubes inside are good. I did note several original capacitors inside that should be replaced for continued reliability but as noted. The tester seems to be working fine. Other than a little light surface rust on some plated components. the tester and case are both in nice shape. even still has the original leather handle. The meter operates very smoothly. It tests from octal and loktal tubes up thru 7 and 9 pin miniatures and compactrons. The original tube testing chart slides out a drawer in the bottom. The last page gives general operating instructions. This tester is so clean because the original owner had built it into a clunky plywood case which protected it. Vintage Eico 628 Tube Tester Nice!
Here is a nice working Eico Model 628 Tube Tester. I’ve owned this tester for quite a few years. And use it occasionally. Functionally, this tester works fine. All switches work, and the sockets are in nice shape. In the picture I’m testing a 12AT7(not included) Over the years, I’ve tested many different tube types and this tester has never failed me. Cosmetically, the unit is ok. I’d say a 7 out of 10. The face has some marks on it, and the meter face has some crazing(I think that’s what you call it) but it is very readable and does not affect the operation of the unit. The tube chart(roll) works fine. There is a tear at the end of the roll that was repaired with tape. This is how I got the unit. It works so I didn’t mess with it. This tester also comes with the original construction and operating manuals. It also comes with a tube supplement ... morebook. These are originals, not reprints! I’m selling it because I recently had the opportunity to purchase a higher end unit, and I don’t have the shelf space for both. Because of the age of the unit, it is being sold AS IS. Hickok 800a Tube Tester - Calibrated - Plate Current mod - Quick Cal Mod
Hickok 800A tester- Calibrated- Plate Current Mod- QuickCal Mod. Cosmetically the case is a little rough and the meter face somewhat faded. But the tester is calibrated and working well. Price reduced accordingly, if you not looking for museum quality case, and just want a good working calibrated tester this might be the one for you. The electronics inside are very clean. Please see photos for more details. Note- the 800A tester has the extra sockets to do the compactron tubes(without a separate adapter) It is also one of the few Hickoks that can measure tube leakage on the meter! The tester has been modified to test Plate Current using the diode test points just under the meter. Instructions on how this works included. It is important to test idle current when matching power tubes for class B or AB operation. The diode function is intact ... morejust not hooked up and can be hooked to a 1/8" jack if needed and retain the plate test. But any modern DMM can test diodes, while tube testers that can test plate current are rare. This tester is the newer vintage of the 800A with the voltage set pot(see blue dial in interior pictures) This tester has been upgraded so that the clunky adjustment rig R15 for bias and reduced screen voltage can be quickly and easily set. Calibration results- Plate Voltage = 151(nominal 150 +/ 5V) Screen Voltage = 132.6(nominal 130 +/ 5V) Reduced Screen = 56.2(nominal 56v +/ 3V) Bias-39.1(nominal-39.3v +/ 1V) Bias@22 =-3.0(3.0) Leakage test= pass. Filament 6.4(6.3) 12.4(12.6) AC Signal= 2.5V(2.5) Very nice results for this field tester! A Noval and Octal socket saver have been added to ensure the most common tubes test well. A regulated Solid State 83 replacement has been included to ensure stability and long life of the tester. The roll chart turns well and is dated"Fall 1968" But I have also included all documentation and test data(including some error fixes) that I have for this model on CD so you don't need to use the roll chart, and can preserve it. It has an instruction book/chart plus two additional instructions books/charts for later year tubes to match the adapters. Condition is used but with some wear. The unit powers up and it appears to be working but it has been some years since we used it to test a CRT. HICKOK SIMPLEX NU TUBE TESTER circa 1934 S-36 E-38
Hickok Simplex Tube Tester model NU? The meter states this is a Model NU or that may just be the model of the meter- no other model designations found other than the chart attached to the lid just states this as a Simplex, I can find no specific info for a Model NU doing a WEB search. This appears identical to a picture of an S-36 I found on the WEB, the E-38 also uses the same circuit according to other info found. Listed separately and NOT included with this tester are six Octal adapters found with this. The chart for the adapters shows them for use with models S-36& E-38, the socket designations on the adapter chart do not match the socket markings on this tester, an attempt was made to test a 5U4 on this tester with the adapters without success, so a difference may exist between this and an S-36. A Type 26 known to be weak was tested ... moreand this does appear to function at least to a point anyway- see pic. The tester does show its age but overall nothing real bad, the original cloth cord is still okay but the plug needs replaced, there are tares/holes/wear in the tolex cover but the wood case is solid, the user panel does show some minor wear and there is rusting to the exterior metal surfaces- see pics and ask questions, this is sold as-is for its collectibility only- no refunds no returns. You are bidding on one WT-110A AUTOMATIC ELECTRON-TUBE TESTER CHECKER RCA ANSWER TO CARDMATIC 1957. I checked the tube checker and found that it was not working. The CAL works. But it would not test any tubes. So, it is listed AS NOT WORKING, FOR PARTS OR REPAIR. It is probably the finger sensors That need to be cleaned, as this is usually the problem in these types of testers. It is in over all pretty good shape. There is a musty smell when it is opened. Just smells old. There is a copyright date of 7/1957 on the lid. Just look up the tube to be tested in the card stack, rotate the card into the reader, pull the lever to the ON position and it is supposed to test the tube. NO READINGS at all, other then the CAL position, which is working. So, it is powering up, but not able to check the tubes. I think these are fairly rare. It is smaller ... morethen the Card-o-Matic and no powered plunger to worry about, all manual power to pull in the fingers. The weight for shipping is 29 pounds.

Vintage Hickok 6000 Tube Tester. I plugged this tester in and turned it to the on position. The meter moved up towards the? mark. I plugged a 6l6 tube in and it warmed up but when I pressed the test button the meter goes from? down to 0. Might be an easy fix I just don't have time to mess with it. Daven I-177B Military Mutual Conductance Tube Tester. Calibrated, Works Great! Daven I-177-B U.S. Army Signal Corps Mutual Conductance Tube Tester The 83 is a JAN RCA. The 5Y3GT is a JAN Ken Rad and both are as good as new. With a 6L6 in the socket the filament voltage is 6.31 VAC which is critical for correct Gm test results and calibration. Many Hickok testers will drop below 6 VAC with a tube in the socket causing inaccurate Gm results. The 6L6 being tested in the pictures shows a Gm reading of 5500 which is the exact same result on a calibrated Hickok 750. A new three-prong cord was added for protection. The original tube data is all there. Minus the cover page, and the original schematic is there. The MFP was done in 1957 so probably from that era. Here is a mutual conductance tester you can be proud of and count on for decades to come. A beautiful refubished B&K 700. It has been carefully cleaned and polished. Re-capped with Sprague Atom and Illinois caps, resistors checked, tubes checked and 83 tube replaced with silicon diode pack, unit fully calibrated, then 12AX7 modified. This modification brings the correct bias voltage to the new 12AX7 socket(number 24) for test results we want and expect to see- ranging from 0 to 120. Not 0 to 30(with 22 min good) as is stock. A wonderful modification as no one likes the design defect of the 22 min 12AX7 testers(all B&K, Hickok, If you want to test the old way though, it is still there available on socket 8. B&K 607 Dyna Jet Solid State Vacuum Tube Tester, Setup Guide, Manual CALIBRATED
Up for sale is a repaired. Tested and working B&K Dyna Jet 607 Tube Tester. This unit is B&K's clone of the Sencore Mighty Might VII(TC162) You can see an excellent write-up of this unit at TubeSound's website: Overall. This tester is in decent condition and works. The lid has a crack in one of the corners and the case has seen some use. The case is a hard plastic and has held up well. For details of overall condition, please see the pictures. I tested every socket except#8 for which I don't have any tubes. I checked the wiring to#8 and it looks fine. In the unusual case that you need to test a 5BC3 tube. I'm pretty sure this socket will also work. The lockout switches and all controls work as they should. Everything tested worked as it should. I calibrated the short and grid leakage circuits. The short and power lights ... morework. The leakage and quality tests worked as expected for all the tubes I tested. As described in the TubeSound blog. I checked the test voltage-load combinations for all LOAD settings A through J. All voltages and resistive loads were well within spec. The original meter was broken and I replaced it with a new meter. It had the same rating but a different faceplate. So I made a faceplate for it to match the B&K original. The grid clip is also a new replacement and not original. Included with the tester is an original Setup Guide which is in good shape. A little dirty from use but very legible. Also included is a bound copy of the Instruction Manual. The manual includes a calibration procedure, parts list and schematic. The manual is easy to read, but the schematic is hard to read. Nice emission type tube tester made by the Accurate Instrument Co. in 11/1960. This tube tester checks for shorts. Leakages and quality of emissions. I am the second owner of this tester and it is my first tester. This has worked well for me as long as I have had it and am only selling it because I have upgraded to a Hickok model 600. The condition of the Accurate 151 tester is overall excellent with only minor cosmetic flaws on the outside of the case. One being some rust on the handle ends and some sporadic scuffing. Inside, the meter and stenciling are excellent as the pictures show. All potentiometers and switches are fully functional. The tester has the original operating instructions and works as it was manufactured to do so. Hickok 539A "Engineers Model" Vacuum Tube Tester In Good Working Condition
This is a Hickok model 539A vacuum tube tester. It is in good working condition. I I tested several tubes and compared the results of the tests with my recently calibrated TV-7. The meter readout is different than the TV-7 but the resulting values/tube strengths were comparable with the TV-7. The case on the 539A has the usual scuffs and dings& the roller has some play in it when changing direction of the roller but for a tester of this vintage but overall it is in very good working condition. This is a working Sencore Mighty Mite V vacuum tube checker TC 142. Complete with the case and manuals. This will test all of the tubes used in portable radios. Unlike older models, this will test for leakage and gas between the control grid and other elements, shorts between all elements, leakage between cathode and heater of 180,000 ohms plus the all important cathode emission test. Up for auction a Accurate Instrument Model 257 Tube Tester from my collection. This is a great tester. Very easy to use, set 4 dials from the settings in the book& throw a switch, that simple. It tests for Shorts, Leakage& Quality, it will test pretty much all the common makes of tube in guitar, bass amps& most radio ones but not the old 4 pins. Pics show testing a 12ax7& 6L6 with results the same as my main calibrated tester& the shorts light working. Tester is in very good condition with just the odd scratch. Case is solid with a few scuffs, marks& rust spots. This is fully tested& rarely fully original. No parts needed to be changed, its fully working. The 257 also has the attachments for testing old TV tubes. I've not tested these as I don't have the tubes, but all look fine. Welcome Here is a unique vintage tube powered resistor and capacitor tester by Knight. As you can see it does work. There are mostly pictures that were taken outdoors. I found this item kind of fascinating and wanted to show the inside and its condition. Both tubes look good. If your not familiar with these old tube testers. There are reproduction manuals that can be purchased as well as video's on u tube that show how to work these. Anyway. I did not receive the test Leeds with this unit so they wont be included. Up for auction from an estate is a hardn to find Signal Corps T-177 tube tester made by Hickok. Most were made with a metal case. This is the rade wood version I have never seen this in wood before.
