ANTIQUE ART DECO SPACE AGE MUTUAL SUNSET LAMP CO GILBERT ROHDE TORCHIERE LAMPS
Relisted due to a non paying bidder. This is a rare pair of 1930's Mutual Sunset Lamp Co. Torchiere lamps. I am pretty certain they were designed by Gilbert Rohde. The bases are stamped MSLC 3887. I have researched his style and they are typical of his designs. The tops look like a chrome or shiny nickel and the poles are a black enamel. the bases appear to be a heavy cast metal of some kind. The most interesting feature is the tops pivot to any direction and the poles can be extended to whatever height you want. Ranging from 50" to 55" or so. Very rare.
