HP 5370A Frequency Counter with Rubidium Clock Retrofit
Hewlett Packard HP 5370A Frequency Counter retrofitted with a FE5680A Rubidium master clock source and power module. The retrofit provides a clock source that's much more accurate and than the internal TCXO that is supplied with this unit. The TCXO is still available in the unit and the Rubidium system can be removed if one wants to restore the counter to its original configuration. The rubidium module has a small interface module that supplies appropriate power from the power module incorporated in the retrofit. See JPEGS to see how the rubidium module was mounted in the HP 5370A frame. The Rubidium Power Module is connected to the HP 5370A's AC filter/Fuse assembly and is powered continuously once power is applied by the supplied IEC power cable.
