This is a military-grade VOM model TS-352 A/U is the meter used by the military in calibrating Hickok tube testers and is noted in the calibration instructions for the TV7 D/U, among others. It has the 1000 ohms/volt scale that is universal to the Hickok calibration instructions, no more trying to figure out what resistors to place over your DVM to get the proper voltages for calibrating, it's all here! Hickok TV-7/U Tube Tester in Great Condition - Calibrated all Within SPECS
Hickok TV-7/U Military Tube Tester Working& Very Nice Conditon all Within SPECS Hiclok TV-7/U Military Tube Tester Works very good and installed new JAN 83 and 5y3GT rectifiers. Would normally say it was calibrated. But according to the manual, it was only tested& adjusted. Bias voltages all within specs, 22, 50, 75, and 100. The plate voltage was checked according to the manual, with a 375k resistor parallel from the cathode to the plate, pin 6& 3, and it is right at 150 volts and specs call for 150 volts. The high screen voltage used the same resistor on pins 6& 4 and was at 129 volts and specs call for 130 + or– 3 volts. The low screen voltage was checked and at 56 and specs call for 56 volts. Also, checked the line voltage with a 6L6 in the socket and it is at 6.1 volts. This was all in the manual and all the manuals and ... moreupdated tube data can be found here: Tested a 6L6 and there are pictures of that test below and the data says the minimum for a 6L6 is 25 and this one tests at 35. The meter reads on a 0– 120 scale and I am sure there is a way to convert to Gm. But that info was not included in any of the manuals. The tester looks like it has been used very little and is in really nice condition. Please look at the pictures and ask any questions. Hickok 600A Tube Tester Nice Condition Works Great & Accurate
Hickok 600A mutual conductance tube tester. Great working condition and can be seen in the photos in the line adjust position and testing a 6L6 calibration tube with accurate results. The calibration tube has a value of 5050 micromhos and this tester is showing a value of 5100 micromhos so it is very close and accurate and tested several other tubes also with great results. It has not been calibrated and test results were close to my calibrated TV-7D/U so I did not see the need to do so. The meter& panel are in excellent shape and all sockets are clean and tight and all knobs. Switches, buttons and roll chart work freely and as they should. The outer case has some nicks and scrapes but is in great shape compared to most I have seen. The power cord is a bit stiff and has some minor cracks in the outer covering but nothing exposed and does ... morenot affect anything but just wanted to mention it and there is no manual but you can download online or purchase one off ebay cheap. Beautiful condition used Hickok 533A vacuum tube tester. 2 capacitors look to have been replaced. This tester is in good basic working order. And very clean! It powers up, goes up to line test, and tests a known good 6L6 tube strong. roll chart is tight and rolls freely. Most tube testers sold will need to be calibrated. its a given. Unless the seller can provide you with the calibration specs. Almost any tube tester will need calibrated. this tester hasnt been used in years, but does test well. I have used this tester for over 10 years without fault to test my Western Electric tubes. I am selling the last of my Western Electric tubes and I no Longer have need of this tester. I use my TV-7 and Triplett 3444. It comes in a black case supplied by W.E.CO[see photo] rather than the aluminum case. Up for auction is a Hickok Cardmatic Card Kit Case and over 2000 cards. The case is well used with dents and scratches and missing paint. The hinged lid works ok though. This was stored in a cardboard box. The box had written on it. Cardmatic Kit USM-118 NEW CARDS" The reference to the new cards described the"clear" cards that were in the box. I included the opaque and colored cards with this auction as I have no use for them. Hickok Model 600A Micromho Dynamic Mutual Conductance Vacuum Tube Tester
If you are looking for a tester with a nice case. This is not the one. The case is in terrible condition. It is intact enough to safely house the tester, it just doesn't look nice. I don't know if all functions are working. I am capable of; finding a tube number in the scroll. Plug the tube in, make the listed settings, push the listed button, and read the meter, good or replace. Other then setting the line adjust, this is all that I have the knowledge to do. I do not know how accurate it is, as I don't have a tube of a known condition or another tester to compare to. The face of the tester in in pretty good condition. It has definitely had some use. As you can see wear marks around the switches wear fingers have rubbed on it. There is a lens missing over the bias fuse, and the power cord is pretty cracked up and should be replaced ... moreas well as the short test lead. The metal name plate that is supposed to be glued under the lid has come off. The tube sockets seemed to work fine on the two I tried, but all look like they have light corrosion on the contacts. The scroll is complete and works well, it gets a little harder to roll as you approach the ends. There is some writing in pencil on the back of the face. I will wrap up the two tubes underneath to be sure they are not damaged during shipping. BE SURE TO OPEN AND REMOVE THE PACKAGING MATERIAL BEFORE USE! I will include a note making mention of this to be sure it is not forgotten. Hickok 800 Tube Tester - Plate Current Mod
Hickok 800 Tube Tester. The diode test ports have been modified to test power tube current using a standard DMM for power tube matching. I will send instructions on how to use to the winning bidder if you are not familiar with this function which is commonly used on the 539 series. Also included are manuals and test data on CD. The 83 tube has been replaced with a voltage regulated SS device providing proper voltage drop. This unit had a rough shipping time getting to me and the wooden bracket on the left side came loose. And the top deck is slightly bowed. I have repaired the bracket, and everything fits pretty well but its not perfect, please see pictures. Electronics repaired and calibrated. My calibration voltages read- Plate Voltage = 151.9(150 +/ 5v) Screen Voltage = 133.3(135/5v) Reduced Screen Voltage = 55.7(56 +/3V) Max Bias =-38.9(39 ... more+/1V) This tester reads small signal tubes fine. 12AX7, 12AU7, 6CF8, etc but larger power tubes appear to sag the power supply a bit, and so read a little on the low side. This does not affect the current reading if matching power tubes using current readings. However I'm starting the bidding low. The cups about 3.25" high. All 3 pieces are signed"MGM 1960- The Islanders- Designed by Hickok" The pitcher has the number 4621, the cups are numbered 4619. The mugs are in mint condition. Excellent vintage condition with NO major defects. I believe it is made of silver(possible sterling(unmarked) or an alike non-ferrous material) with a gold tone finish(possible gold fill) Back clasp has a tendency to skew upwards when pressed(see 6th pic) but stays level untouched. Some of the gold tone finish has worn off(mostly at curved end. See pics) Pretty rare little piece! Being offered for sale AS-FOUND, uncleaned.
