Hickok 752A Mutual Conductance Tube Tester. Reads transconductance(gm) directly in micromhos. Works. But has a bad meter. Tapping on it will get it to read, but it is very erratic and needs repair or replacement. Checked with 5U4 and 6L6. Tests 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12 pin, tubes for shorts, gas, and quality, including: 1L6, 2A3, 5AR4(GZ34) 5V4, 6AS7, 6CA4, 6CA7(EL34) 6BM8, 6BQ5, 6DJ8, 6EU7, 6FQ7, 6SN7, 12AT7, 12AU7, 12DW7(7247) 10, 45, 50, 83, 6550, 7025, 7027, 7189, 7199, 8417, KT66, and KT88. Hickok 800K / 600A Vacuum Tube Tester
Hickok 800K 600A Vacuum Tube Tester Tester seem to work pretty good. The 6V6GT being tested measured 4180 on my Amplitrex and so looks pretty close. I did put a new cord on it. Cleaned the switches with DeOxit. The tubes(83& 5Y3GT) inside it test as new. Interior electronics look good. Roll chart goes from end to end but gets a little tight at the very ends. Easy fix. Some minor stains on the face and a small dent in the lower right hand corner(see picture) I do not have the manual(a 600A manual will work just fine) but available free on line or nice reprints on Ebay. HICKOK 600A DYNAMIC MUTUAL CONDUCTANCE TUBE TESTER AMP HI-FI TESTED AGAINST 539C
DESCRIPTION* Here's a decent Hickok 600A tube tester I have used for several years testing only some simple guitar-amp tubes: 6L6. 12AX7, 12AU7's. etc. I'm only selling it because I recently bought a calibrated 539C tester. It would continue to serve it purpose well as a"service tester" determining if tubes are shorted, and a general good vs bad idea if a tube is usable or not. I would not rely on it for matching tubes or for selling tubes based on a specific Gm output. I would question it's accuracy. It could probably be calibrated though to achieve more accurate results(it's never been calibrated to my knowledge) In fact. Just to see how it compared. I tested 2 of the same tubes both on this tester and my recently calibrated Hickok 539C. The tubes I checked were a 12AU7 and a 6L6. Here's how they compared: ... more6L6- on this 600A = 4.300 Gm 6L6- on 539C = 5.750 Gm(where 539C says Min. for 6L6 is 3.300) 12AU7- on this 600A = 1.900/ 2,000 12AU7- on 539C = 2.600/ 2,700(where 539C says Min. for 12AU7 is 1.950/1,950) So based on these readings it looks like you have a conservative margin for error to your advantage on this 600A(assuming the 539C is accurate) Both of these tubes read well into the Green"Good" range on the 600A at that. Also. A new power cord has been installed recently. It has a grounded-plug but the ground wire for some reason is not attached. So, I imagine it could still be attached and grounded if so desired. The tube-data chart does not roll properly when installed in the tester- it binds. If you remove it from the tester you can get it to reach both ends of it's chart though with no problem. For the time I used it, I just kept it out of the tester for that reason. This tester will ship completely assembled though as seen in the first 3 photos. One more thing, the plastic lens that goes in the window for the tube chart is missing. The photos are of the actual tester you are buying, let them speak for themselves. HICKOK TV-7 B vacuum tube tester, Calibrated and Refurbed
Offered is a HICKOK brand TV-7/B vacuum tube tester. Recently re-calibrated and refurbished. This one is in nice cosmetic condition. The outer case shows the usual wear. Small scratches, nicks etc, but has its original paint and is in nice condition overall. The tester is in very good cosmetic condition as well, showing usage, but not abuse. There is no need to go into the details about the TV-7 as there is lots of information here on Ebay and elsewhere on the internet. There's lot of them out there. This tester has had a complete repair, recalibration and refurbishment from the great Dan Nelson of Chandler Arizona. Dan specializes only in TV-7's. He had done maybe 20 of them for me and many more besides mine. In addition to the calibration, this one has had its 7,8 and 9pin sockets replaced. These are usually bad on 9 out of 10 testers ... morethat are sold on Ebay and of all of the testers I have owned over the years only one or two did not require replacement. Ferrite beads have been added to the 9-pin socket. These were added to the TV-7/D model specifically to prevent oscillation of high gain tube like 6DJ8's and Western 417A's. They have been added here for the same reason. Both of the rectifiers have been replaced, so the unit now has a fresh#83 and 5Y3. Caps, resistors and other parts have been replaced as necessary. This unit works VERY well and should be good for another decade of use. The total repair bill was around $280.00. If you are looking for a good serviceable vacuum tube tester, then perhaps this one is for you.

I don't know if this would be anything that you vintage tube guys would be interested in. Im retiring a tube tester. This is the original cord. It says"Hickok" on the plug and it is a 2 conductor non polarized type. Honesty. I wouldn't hesitate to use this cord on any of my stuff. Its not cracked and it is very soft the flexible. The cord is right around 7 feet long. It may be the finishing touch to that super expensive Hickok tester that has a replacement cord that just doesn't look correct. Last but not least is this nice looking faceplate to the 6000A Hickok. I have left a few trinket items on it as you can see. The plate is very nice. All the writing is in excellent shape. Even at the top where is says"Shunt" and"Bias" those are bold too but the flash makes it look like they are missing. Edges look nice. No pry marks or bends. Hickok Men’s Dresser Box Horse Cufflinks Black Plastic Masculine This is a gorgeous old box from Hickok. It measures about 4” square by 2” tall. It displays white/ivory horses on a black background. A few spots of the white have worn off. But the piece doesn’t suffer. The Hickok logo is underneath the top of the box. I think this dates to the 50s or 60s. Made in USA.

Hickok TV-3B/U Excellent Condition Rare Vacuum Tube Tester
Here is a very nice TV-3B/U. Which was made by Hickok. This is quite a rare unit. Especially considering the good condition! Based upon the color of the unit, it was likely made for the US Navy or Coast Guard, but there seems to be a lack of information about this unit due to its rarity. This is physically/electrically similar to the TV-10. It will test all the popular audio tubes and many others for shorts. Mutual conductance, life, gas and noise. Some advantages of this tester over the popular TV-7 series of testers are that it reads directly in Micromhos. The meter was replaced with a new Simpson and much appreciated help was received by the TV-7 guru. Dan Nelson, who helped me have it sourced from his personal supplier, Larson MeterCraft, who duplicated the meter face and calibrated it. The tester works flawlessly, even the ohmmeter, ... morevolt meter and capacitor meter functions are working… Amazing! Switches and sockets are tight and the roll chart is smooth, strong 83 and 5Y3 tubes, and it has a new-grounded line cord. I have checked this against my Dan Nelson calibrated TV-7 and this tester’s results compare very favorably. You would be hard pressed to find a nicer TV-3B/U at any price. Thanks for looking. Lovely Vintage Hickok Black Trinket Box With Horse Image& Shabby Gold Finish O.K. I took a hike out to one of my favorite dealers. He has one of those buildings that is packed inside and out with generations of auctions and estate sales, you know what I mean, the kind of place that makes you slam on the breaks when you see it. 99% of the time he’s NOT open, but he’ll open if you ask him and he has the time. He has a fabulous variety and an eye for the unusual and wacky, so shopping there is Maureen’s heaven. There’s so much to choose from this week– advertising, signs, primitives, medical, and antiques galore– you don’t want to miss! I still have items from the dealer who closed, and the flea market too– yikes! I’ve got to get to work! Here is a lovely vintage trinket box that has a very art deco look to me in age and style. It's ... moremade of a hard black plastic. And has a relief image of a head or a horse on top. It was labeled as Bakelite, but I have to tell you, I never did get the rub and smell thing, so I do not know. It's an old hard plastic for sure. The horse is finished in a dark gold that is shabby and worn down to the black in small spots all over, but mostly on the perimeter areas. I LOVE the look- this one packs a PUNCH of charm. It's a small box, measuring just 3 1/2" square and 1 3/4" tall and it's in excellent solid and sturdy condition structurally. I'm showing in photos 15& 16 that is has a 1/2" by about 1/8" chip to the inside rim of the box. That is the interior rim that does not show when the lid is on, so you have to take it off to see it. That's the only(if you call that major) damage. The box has light scratches and scrapes to the plastic all around, and the finish wear discussed above. It's dustydustydirty and needs a good cleaning- I do not clean or mess with as found patina in any way- although I have to tell you that the"stuff" that you see on the side of the lid of the box in photos 5-8 is water that came from me dropping t

A great original 1880s cabinet card photo showing a group of young people with a sign above their head that says. Rats" They are all identified on the back with quite a few prominent. Wyoming pioneer family names. I have only had the time to research a few(my notes are on the back in light. Erasable pencil) it would be interesting to see what more dedicated research might turn up. 9. G.F. Morgan was a banker, and cattle rancher. He introduced the first Hereford cow into the United States! 10 is George F. Rossini. He was 1st Lieutenant in the Wyoming Territory National Guard, 1st Infantry. Company B, and fought during the Indian Wars. 11. G.L. Beard was a prominent banker. 4. Henry Lee Kuykendall was the son of W.L. Kuykendall, the judge who presided in the trial of Jack McCall. Hello again.this is an early probably 1950's Vacuum tube voltmeter.I know really nothing about the unit.It does power up but that's about all I know.This is a Hickok brand model#110a. the unit is about 10" tall by 13" wide and 6 1/2 deep.It is electrical and probably has internal tubes.needs cleaning.need I am sure a good calibration but as I said does at least power up.Has frontal dial that reads the volts.I have no other wires that should have plugged into the ac probe on the front.A four prong wire.
