The serial number is C- 26397 which dates this tester back to the late sixties- early seventies. It's over 40 years old and still performing it's intended function beautifully. The tester powers on when plugged in. And the equipment appears to be very clean. As I am not a television repair man, this equipment although believed to be in good condition, is being sold in"as is" condition. The blue case is clean overall but worn in spots and the edges with some of the plastic vinyl covering starting to seperate at the bottom of the case. The foam pad in the storage compartment has deteriorated and I removed the remains because it was making a mess. I have no way of testing the unit for accuracy. Unit is in really great shape with no cracks or dents to the exterior. The inside looks great. The exterior plastic is a little dingy looking and would probably be brought back to life with a little Armor-all. As with all vintage electronics. Has a small scuff and stain on top cover(see pics) and some light surface rust on hinges and latch that will probably come off easily. Comes with 3 adapters. B&K Model 465 Cathode Ray Tube Tester With Adapters and Manual. The only test I made is that set the"Heater Voltage on 3-5" turned on the unit and the red light came on. I set it to 0-3"Heater" the needled moved up between 0-3 and I could adjust the"Heater adjust" Knob up and down and needle went from 0-3. That is the second picture. I did this with the other settings 3-5. 5-8, 8-10, 10-13 and each time the needle went up to that range. some of the other pictures show those settings) Item is sold as-is so please ask any questions. It has an instruction book/chart plus two additional instructions books/charts for later year tubes to match the adapters. Condition is used but with some wear. The unit powers up and it appears to be working but it has been some years since we used it to test a CRT. So quaranteed not to be DOA and to be functional but having not done a full check out we do not offer any extended warranty past the return period.either expressed or implied.
