This is a vintage Western Electric Telephone Operator's Headset. There are some markings on this antique piece. On the headphone. It says H 66/U. On the piece right above that, it says 15A. It also says Western Electric 52 Made in U.S.A. on the arm holding the microphone. It is in excellent condition for its age! The wire and plug are in great condition. The speaker and microphone show few small signs of use and age. They are slightly dirty. Could use a little cleaning! The clear plastic doesn't seem to have many scratches though. The head band that holds the headset on is showing its age. The metal is starting to wear a little bit. Please refer to photographs for more details. Up for your consideration is a vintage radio telegraph headset that is untested. Model 2P. Made in U.S.A. but no manufacturer's name found 1000 single ohms 2000 double ohms Old cloth wiring appears to be in good shape. Ear pieces appear to be black bakelite with chrome swivels and fixtures. Swivels turn easily and bushings on adjustment posts move up and down for easy adjustment for proper fit to the ears. Head pieces swivel at the ends for proper fit. Some minor scratches/marks on the bakelite and chrome pieces but in good condition for its age. See photos. These belonged to my late father who was an Army Air Corp pilot in WWII. They were found in a box marked"antique telegraph equipment" with other telegraph items and military memorabilia.
