THE 200 MK 2 was one of the best in the DTL series. This deck has been through the mill and back. The system is 100% working. There are things that need attention. 1: Some of the controll buttons on the facia have either fallen off or are loose. The tactile buttons undernieth are still working good. 2: The facia has some scratches on the bottom leading edge. 3: There is a decorative trim piece missing below the CD tray. 4:The CD tray looks a lttle lop sided, 5: There are some scuffs and acratches on the chassis top. This is for retsoration or for parts to fix another unit. I would recomend using the face of a donor deck and perhaps the chassis top to get this back ... moreto propper. This is sold as is. The Mamiya/Sekor 500 DTL was introduced ca 1965 and was one of the very first(if not the first) camera to offer Spot or Average Metering. By way of a switch along side the lens mount. The Mamiya/Sekor 500 DTL used Screw-Mount Lenses. An interesting feature on this camera is that the Film Advance lever also acts as a Stop-Down lever for the lens. And a metering switch. This Camera also features the Accessory Shoe attachment which was an option in that era. The focusing screen is fairly clear with a few specs of dust. The battery chamber and base plate are in very good condition and free from corrosion. I have inspected the shutter curtain and it also looks to be in very good condition. Up for your consideration Collectible Mamiya/Sekor 500 DTL 35mm SLR Camera Body with Original Case The Mamiya 500 DTL was an extremely popular camera in the late 60’s and early 70’s. The Mamiya 500 DTL is sturdy and functional. It is very easy to use. And takes normal batteries available everywhere today. The Mamiya 500 DTL offer’s both spot and average metering at the flick of a button. And they switch faster, more easily and show their active metering pattern more clearly in the finder than any Nikon or Canon— ever. Metering is stop-down. Meaning you must press the wind lever in towards the camera to stop down the lens as you meter and set exposure. More under Usage. The meter has an excellent in-finder indicator. Better than almost all modern cameras, because it uses a real-time analog needle that indicates in full stops, making Zone System ... morecalculations easy. More under Usage. These cameras use the very common M42 universal screw mount. Also called the Pentax screw mount. The only odd part is that some of my Pentax lenses won't fit, because a lug on the back of the Pentax brand lenses hits something inside the Mamiya and prevents screwing in all the way. They came with a wide variety of interchangeable lenses(all designated as"Auto Mamiya/Sekor" The lens mount was the same 42mm threaded mount developed for the Praktica and popularized by Pentax. The TL-series was the first Mamiya 35mm with CdS through-the-lens(TTL) metering. It was powered by one MS-76 or equivalent 1.5v battery.
