Museum piece / early BRASS backpump / extinguisher / Forestry / CDF
I have had this for about 40 years. A early CDF Backpump probably from the late 30's/ early 40's. This a very rare piece that belongs in a museum or on a restored parade fire engine. I have polished up a few spots to show it is Brass. These are extremely hard to obtain. This is very early, notice the pictures show the seam area that has some type of lead rivets? You also get two trombones that actually have wooden hand grips! Very neat. You may never get another chance for one of these. It weighs approximately 4 pounds 12 ounces; total length is 34" The head measures approximately 7 ¾” from bit to poll and 4 ⅝” from toe to heel on the bit. The head has dings. Scratches, surface rust, pitting and someone used the poll as a hammer and peened the edges over but there are no cracks and I filed the edges down the best I could; there are no cracks or chips in the cutting edge but it will need sharpened if it is to be used. The book is a stated 2nd edition and was authorized by Congress April 18. 1900, being their Bulletin No.24 from their Division of Forestry. The book is profusely illustrated with 47 full page plates and 83 in text pictures. The book measures 7-1/4" x 5-1/2" x 5/8" and contains numbered pages(the plates are not given page numbers) with all pages including the front and rear end pages. A frontispiece photograph, as well as the aforementioned plates, being present and well attached, with pages showing mild overall ... moregeneralized age discoloration with occasional foxing, with all text clear and legible. The book retains the original dark green cloth covered boards with unbroken hinges, fading of portions of the covers and spine, mild corner wear and rounding, mild edge wear except for an area of 1/2" cloth loss on the rear board upper edge, and with the spine cover completely intact and with minimal wear except for the extreme fading. 1995. 1270 John Deere Timber jack Harvester with 762b head. 200hp six cylinder Perkins, with turbo. This machine has 10650 hrs. and is in very good shape as far as not being all welded up, structurally. We bought it and then ended up not using it, because we decide to hire our harvesting out. The engine is very strong and runs well, hydraulics all work very good. We are in the process of buying a new wiring harness for the machine because it has had some glitches electrically speaking. We figured it,s less downtime buying a whole new harness, and just replacing it. This machine will be sold on a where is, as is, basis. German Weimar Deutch Customised Hunting Cutlass Forestry Official Dagger Dolch
German forestry official cutlass of Weimar republic period subsequently customised to fit for the next regime with the National Hunting Association badge replacing the middle acorn. Fine overall condition though the blade shows significant tear and wear. Etched decorations to the blade still clearly visible. All parts including the scabbard are solid and perfectly fit. No visible maker marks. Fine original uncleaned piece. 50 cm overall length.
