Set of 4 Japanese Rice Bowls made out of ceramic. They could be porcelain. They have a short foot and a scalloped edge around the top. The china is bright white with a wicker design on the bottom 1/3 of the dish. They're hand painted with blue flowers with yellow centers and there is one flower in the bottom of each bowl. Stand 2" tall, 4 1/2" diameter, each weighs 7 ounces, they hold about one cup. Condition: Minimal signs of use. No nicks. No chips, no cracks, no utensil wear, no crazing. Vintage Talavera Pottery Art Coffee Cup Hand Painted Tonala Blue Bird El Palomar
This beautul hand painted Tonala coffee cup/mug from Mexico. Has the blue colored bird and flowers in the El Palomar style. It is about 4 1/2" tall and the same at the widest including the handle. And 3" at the mouth. It is in excellent condition with no cracks or cracks, however it does have some glaze bubbling on one side- not damage, but occurred during production and is part of any hand made pottery item. I am not a an expert, but it does not appear to have had any effect on its beauty or endurance. Please review all the photos carefully prior to bidding. However, for some reason it stops heating at some seemingly random point, and I'm not sure how to get it to start again, without waiting till it cools down, and turning it back on again. I tested it on two consecutive days. The first day it heated to 382°C, before it made a click sound, and the power meter needle dropped to zero, and it stopped heating. I tried turning it off and on again, but it did not ... morestart heating again. When I tried it the next moring, it started heating again just fine, until it got to 414°C, and then again the meter needle dropped to zero, and it stopped heating. I'm not sure if it has something to do with the controls or what. This is the extent of my testing of it, and it is being sold as-is. It comes with three shelves, as shown.
