With the pai nt mostly bright and shiny. There are a couple of places which I would describe as"blemishes" or very shallow paint loss. And I've tried to show this in the first 2 pictures. The item featured in this auction is the common presser foot which is used for installing zippers in garments. Or securing a corded edge to a pillow, among other things. This style has been around for many years, and has the wide toe piece which I believe is designed to hold several layers of material firmly as the work travels through the needle area. Singer Sewing Machine Model 201-2 Circa 1945 Plus Cabinet and Stool. Model no. 65 Recently cleaned. Polished, oiled and tested! The 201-2 machine was created for family use and it sews everything from fine fabric to upholstery and even though I have never done it. It has a reputation for sewing leather just fine. Family use included using it for commercial sewing at home to supplement the family income. It is often referred to as the best straight stitch machine that Singer produced. It is cast iron so it weighs a lot! This will be local pick up only. It has reverse feed and back tacks nicely. Adjustable stitch length allows for 6 stitches per inch(basting) up to 30 stitches per inch. It can also be used for darning and embroidery. It comes with several attachments. Original book, buttonholer and templates, various bobbins and thread, folding ... morescissors, small scissors, thimble and straight pins. It has all of the attachments it originally came with: Foot Hemmer. Adjustable Hemmer, The Binder, Edge Stitcher, Gatherer, Ruffler. Extra attachments: Adjustable Zipper foot. Cording/ Zipper Foot, Blind Stitch Attachment with book, Buttonholer with book and 9 templates. The condition of the machine is great! It sews very well(see photo 11 of stitches using different weights of fabric) The decals are intact(photo 2) Chrome plates are polished(photos 3, 4, 5) original cord and foot pedal. The black surface of the machine is scuffed and chipped in places especially around the edges(photo 2) It has been waxed. Polished and buffed, but it still shows use. It comes with a light bulb. Cabinet has been polished but it does have visible nicks. Scratches and water spots. Veneer is chipped on the bottom of one side, see photo 9. There are 3 drawers. The lid comes off the seat for extra storage. This was made to be used as a desk as well as a sewing machine cabinet. Bottom drawer has insert to hold stationary and writing supplies. This is a set of the four early Singer instructional books. With publishing dates from 1927 to 1932. The booklets are in great condition, and are held in an original sleeve from the company. The sleeve is in rough condition but is serviceable and shows the presentation of the books when published. The booklets are 8 1/2" by 6" in size, and are well illustrated. Each one stands alone as a collectible, but they are meant to be together, so I kept them that way.

I did some research on the Internet and I believe the instruction booklet and 2 tracing patters are original. There is no box. The instruction booklet has a copyright date of 1932 and 1933. The right top corner is creased- but there are no tares or rips. I believe the first transfer pattern is for a geometric rose placemat. The second transfer pattern I believe is for a rug. They have both been folded and have creases and the edges are somewhat ragged- but no tares or rips to the patterns themselves. I have taken several pictures to show these items. Vintage Singer 12 needle industrial sewing machine EX. RARE 1 of 300 MADE 106-12
Up for auction here is an extremely rare industrial Singer sewing machine. The machine is a model 106-12. Specs according a Singer model database: Twelve needles. Twelve hooks. Speed 3300. Bed 17" 8 1/2" space to right of centre of needlebar. Single thread chain stitch. Oscillating hooks. Distance between outside needles max. 6" Max stitch length 6 to the inch. 12/1940) This machine was manufactured beginning on Sept. 22 1950. And there were only 300 made. The serial number on this particular machine is AJ860125, the first one created being serial no. AJ860121, making this THE FORTH ONE MANUFACTURED. This is likely one of the few remaining that have not been scrapped/destroyed in the world. I have only found one other of these online, and it was in a museum. Down to the condition. It was definitely well used. But also well-maintained. ... moreIt is a belt-operated device, and the arm still spins smoothly without any"Hiccups" There is a metal bar that when pulled raises the plate in which the needles push in to; it has been snapped away from whatever it was connected to, likely when the whole machine was removed from it's base. It is missing 8 of the 12 needles and 3 of the 12 screws that hold them in place. No other missing parts that I could locate. The painted graphics are in great shape for the most part, with only the"Singer" logo on the left side showing any prominent wear. There is also some small patches of rust on the baseplate, where the paint has worn away. Other than those slight nuances, it is looking great and WORKS great. No broken parts or serious damages. I gave it a fairly thorough cleaning, but more could be done with it, especially on the inner workings. I'm leaving that to the buyer as I have little experience with these machines and I do not want to accidentally damage something. Shipping on this item is going to be a bit tricky. As this machine weighs over 100 lbs. I am offering a local pick-up option. However, I can and WILL ship it via UPS freight, though
