Up for auction is this vintage Heathkit tube electronic crossover. Model XO-1 with cage. This was brought into a recycling center for electronics recycling after a garage clean-out. Too nice and rare for that. So here it is. I do not know anything about these old tube electronics but will try and describe this one.Looks all original? Heathkit AR-15 Stereo receiver with Tape. Aux, and Phono inputs. Has AM/FM. The case on the receiver is in very good condition. The untreated wood parts underneath and inside show some age. But the finished parts are in very good shape with little to no scratching. The screws that hold the internals in the case are missing. The string that wraps around the system to tune the radio is broken. The stereo still tunes when you manually pull the ends of the string back and forth. But it will not work from the dial because of the broken string. Needs an antenna to get any good reception. Tape input tested with my phone on an RCA output- works both channels AUX tested on my phone with RCA- works both channels Phono I could not test since I do not have a phono to these with. It did not sound great with my phone but I havent found a receiver that ... moreDID sound good on phono with my phone. Unit has service record stickers in it that date back to 71 from what I can see. The high temp light is vaguely on right from start up.not sure if that is just ambient light coming through. Channel selector works. Volume and pots do not put out a bunch of static when adjusted. All in all this is a really nice example of this unit. I am shocked that I was able to find it in this condition. It weighs a ton. 35 lbs. Dimensions are about 18 wide by 14.5 deep. This is a vintage Heathkit frequency counter. It is in good condition and works well. The frequency range is 5hz-50mhz on channel A. And 40mhz-512mhz on channel B. It has a crystal oven so it is very accurate. It has been sitting in the closet for awhile, but turns on and seems okay. I don't have the probes any more, but it was working fine the last time it was used. I will be selling it as is with no returns, but guarantee it as advertised. It will be packed well for shipping. 1958 original Heathkit Hi-Fi speaker cabinet with an Alnico Jensen P8RS speaker. A Jensen RP103S tweeter horn, with crossover in a ducted-port, bass reflex cab, working and sounding fine. This was a well-regarded unit in its day, and nearly famous when coupled with the SS1B bass cab, which I no longer have. The manufacturers code on the horn and speaker date to the last two weeks of 1957—Jensen employees made these over the Christmas holidays!which pretty surely dates the cabinet to 1958. It measures 11 ½” x 23” x 11 ¾” and weighs 19 pounds. 13 ounces. The corners aren’t joined too precisely at a couple of the edges and there are some scratches. The biggest of them right on top. I have used this clock for many years as part of my amateur radio setup. When I last tried it. The only thing that was not working was that the seconds are not displaying. This may be a result of the diodes or some other part. I did a search on the internet and found the schematic and assembly instructions. So if you want to dig into the unit, this would help. I will find and download the instructions and send it if the bidder wants me to. A couple of idiosyncrasies about the clock. Which is part of the design(remember this is the 70's) When setting the minutes, you can only advance the minute hand to a 9 and have to wait until it changes to 10, then proceed again for the desired minutes. Heathkit PT-1 AM/FM Tuner. FM is in excellent working condition. The sound from the FM is the typical tube sound. Musical, mellow and easy on the ears. Two separate tuning knobs, one for FM and one for AM. Lights work. Meter works. Note ESR(Effective Series Resistance) test checked out all filter caps as good before I brought it up slowly on my Variac over a 24 hr. period. I could not figure out how to get the AM working. I received this Heathkit HW-12A Transceiver in a lot of equipment. So I know nothing about it. The case is in really good shape with virtually no dents or scratches. The front panel has no scratches or heavy wear but it appears that the paint has been touched up in a couple of places. The knobs and dial look pretty good and operate correctly. There was a tag on it that stated that the rig was checked out and that it does work. So I’m guessing that it does. However.
