Heathkit Communications Speaker AK-5 This is a Heathkit model AK-5 that was designed to match the Mohawk(RX-1) and Apache(TX-1) This was the only communications speaker that was designed out of wood and painted with the Heathkit original'twins' colors. This is a heavy duty 8" 8 Ohm speaker. The speaker has been carefully refurbished by filling a few of the marks and holes with'plastic wood' then the whole speaker was sanded and refinshed with a Satin base paint that was perfectly matched to the original color before it was sanded. Even the'Heathkit' logo is not broken or cracked. The felt on the bottom feet has been replaced with new green felt matching the original. The speaker is fully functional. This is a 1960's Vintage Heathkit model# HW-12 Ham Radio 75-Meter monoband SSB transceiver. I received it as part of a large lot of used Amateur Radio and electronic test equipment. And the other items that will be listed in separate auctions. It appears to be in very good condition but is not tested and it is sold as-is, as it may need recalibration or other maintenance performed. You'll probably want to clean up and/or repaint the outer green case with Heathkit Green paint available on-line and at local Home improvement stores. It looks like the person who assembled it did a nice job, and all switches and controls move smoothly. The HW-12 requires an external base station(HP-23 or PS-23 series) or a mobile(HP-13 series) power supply and cable. And a microphone, which are not included, but they're usually always available here ... moreon eBay. PayPal is accepted for payment. HEATHKIT AT-1 HAM RADIO CW TRANSMITTER - VINTAGE
Heathkit AT-1 Amateur Radio Transmitter This vintage"novice" type transmitter is in excellent condition and it is very clean- no smoke smells and from a non-smoking home. Other than a few scratches on the front panel(see photo looking down the panel) that only stand out when viewed at a certain angle. It is way above average. Excellent paint, original feet and knobs. Shortly after I acquired this unit I replaced the filter capacitors and a few other small parts. It is totally original and unmodified. This is from my personal collection of vintage ham gear. This unit works on all bands but doesn't show a lot of output on 10. These units typically put out about 10-15 watts or so depending on the impedance of your antenna or load. It is shown at about 12 watts into a 50 ohm resistive load on 40 meters. I have used it quite a bit ... moreon 80 and 40 meters. It requires a crystal or vfo, plus a key- none of which are included. It comes with a nice bound copy of the manual. After accumulating radio gear for the last 50 years and retiring not long ago. I have recently started to seriously downsize the amount of radio related parts and gear that I have as we have a move in mind. 15 1/4" tall. 8 1/4" wide, 6 5/8" deep. Tested and working. The high frequency adjustment on both work but one is more responsive than the other. One has 4 small holes on the left side of the cabinet toward each corner and the same one has a dark streak across the grill. Other than that a coat of wax or oil will clean them right up. Vintage Heathkit GR-91 -- a 1960s Entry Level Shortwave Receiver
Please read the entire listing AND our Terms and Conditions before placing a bid Vintage Heathkit GR-91- a 1960s Entry Level Shortwave Receiver: This unit is a 1960s. Four tube superheterodyne shortwave or SWL receiver. It is quite clean, and, with some work, it will make a great first radio for a vintage shortwave enthusiast. Here are my observations as I cleaned it up for eBay. The front panel is in good condition. The case has discoloration and several scratches/ scrapes typical of its age- see pictures. The receiver powered on and all controls functioned as expected. With an external antenna. Strong AM signals were clearly heard on the broadcast and shortwave bands. The signal strength meter worked as expected. Presence of AC hum suggests the need to replace filter capacitors. Sensitivity appears to be suboptimal- only stronger signals ... morewere discerned. The main dial and band spread turn smoothly. Buyer should be prepared to test all(four) tubes and to align the receiver. A Google search brought up several on-line references to help with restoring this unit to its original specs. Being a simple tube design. It should be relatively easy to check out. This is not a communications receiver. It is an entry level. SWL receiver. The instrument appears to be complete and unmodified. The unit is being sold as-is. No effort was made to align. To calibrate or to characterize the performance. For best performance, purchaser should be willing to check tubes, align the receiver and connect it to an external antenna. With some work, this receiver should be a great first radio for a new SWL enthusiast or vintage radio collector. Heathkit Heath Kit AJ-43D Vintage AM/FM Stereo Tuner Soild State
Up for sale is a vintage Heathkit AM/FM tuner. The item works on both bands. But the FM tuner is slow to tune when moving right or left, please view video below to see it in use. To better explain, the unit tunes in a station and you start moving the knob to the left or right and it takes time for it to get to the next station. I thought it was a dial string that was slipping, but that's not the case. It's being sold as is for repair or parts because of that problem. The wood case needs some work and the screws are missing.

Paper labels on the back of the speakers are still present. I also have the original 4 page instructions from Heathkit. VINTAGE HEATHKIT v-4 vacuum tube voltmeter -still working -with probes.
HEATHKIT Vacuum Tube Volt Meter- vintage circa 1951 Case is 8 7/8" high(not including handle) 4 7/8 deep(not including knobs) and 6" wide. Probes included- red and black probes are not original equipment. All knobs present. Access port on top has cover present. Cord is in good shape. Not frayed. Dial light operates. Battery(2"D" cells) holder is not corroded. Interior resisters/ condensers. Switches appear to be original. See photos of the underside. Tube complement: 6SN7GTB and 6H6. I have had this meter more than 30 years and used it many times. I have changed the batteries about every 2 years to make sure they are fresh. Look at the picture of the probes measuring an IRC 75 ohm wire-wound resister. The meter in the photo taken while measuring the resister shows(in the outermost scale) midway between the"7" ... moreand the"8" on the"RX10" range. Or 75 ohms! Another photo shows the same resister measurement on the"RX100" range. Again, the outermost scale shows the meter reading three quarters of the way up from"0" to"1" or.75 X 100 = 75 ohms! Pretty good for a 65 year old meter! I measured the same resister with a modern Sperry digital-readout meter and got a reading of 75.3 ohms. I will pack it very well for shipment and include all probes(not the 75 ohm resister) As is standard with vintage electronic equipment. Even though it is working here, I cannot guarantee it will be working after shipment.

Nice sounding. Well cared for, original circuitry, nice sounding, upgraded Heathkit W4AM Tube Mono power amplifier. It has all original vintage USA tubes, several power supply caps, several coupling caps were upgraded by technician. He also installed a jumper so the amp can be used regular preamps with RCA outputs. This amp cannot be used with a Heathkit preamp(Octal Preout Socket) without removing the jumber. This amp will work well with any preamp that uses RCA type outputs. It has very nice quality potted transformers, point to point wiring, nice quality Dayton coupling caps installed, 4,8,16 ohm outputs, balance control for balancing tubes, nice cosmetics with all lettering, nice gray hammertone paint. The transformers have some small scratches and nicks, nothing serious at all. Vintage Metal 1962 Heathkit ? Western Electric ? Mono ? Tube Amp W/ Tubes
This is a vintage tube amp from circa 1962. As indicated by the date codes on two of the tubes. I could not find the maker of this amp anywhere on the machine or on the web. The design resembles quite a few Western Electric amps with the rectangular grills, but its structure looks like it may have been a DIY kit. Perhaps it is a Heathkit amp? There are stickers on the amp stating, Danger: High Voltage" and to only use the amp with 5 fuses. It stated not doing so will void the warranty. In any case it is a neat amp in great shape. Condition: No cosmetic issues. Mechanically the four tubes light up while the two GE tubes did not appear to light up. I will test it more thoroughly if I can. I did not hear any humming from it so the capacitors should be good. But I don't know how old they are. There are cobwebs where the capacitors are ... morelocated.
