Vintage Heathkit GR-64 Shortwave Receiver Tested Working
This is a Vintage Heathkit GR-64 Shortwave Receiver from the 1960's. This a 4-tube Superhet design with 4 bands covering 550 Khz to 30 Mhz. It is in good working condition. I cleaned all control pots and tube sockets and tested all tubes. I also replaced both display lamps. The AM broadcast band had stations come in loud and clear. I only had a short piece of wire to hook up for the shortwave bands but was able to pull in a couple stations on each band. It may need an alignment(instructions are available online) but with a proper antenna you may find that it this isn't necessary. The case has a wear mark on the top along with what appears to be a watermark from a glass. There are a few screws missing from the case. Please look at all pictures for a full description. The only issue is one amp has a mismatched knob- I will include a matching knob so that both amps are exactly the same. Overall this pair of Heathkits W7-A amps are about as mint as you can get all paint is shiny with a few minor scratches- See photos) The Cages are also very clean. However the cages do have a few scuffs and scratches. They both function 100% and sound amazing. They are a loud 55 or so watts each. The Balance and Bias Hold Perfectly! The light behind the tube list comes on and the needle on the meter goes to the yellow area when powered up. No further testing has been done. Overall this does have wear but looks good for its age. Outside case is original and has general surface wear. Corners are beat up and one is especially torn. Looks like someone added tape all the way around or it was put there by the company(looks decorative) Overall size is 14 1/2" x 12" x 6 1/2" The lid inside has a place where it is gaping but still sealed from outside. see last pic) A bit musty smelling.No burning smell hisses or noise.

Vintage RARE Heathkit electronic switch model ID-4101 Turn you single trace oscilloscope into a dual trace scope They're especially handy for doing work on stereo audio signals as left and right can be displayed on the two traces. It works by alternately switching the output between the inputs rapidly, placing one trace sample at the top. And the other at the bottom of a fast square wave signal which is sent to the scope's vertical input. By adjusting the amplitude of the square wave the channel 1 and channel 2 traces can be either overlapped or separated. When separated. The waveforms appear on two trace baselines. For low repetition rate waveforms. The switching rate for the sampling/square wave output can be adjusted to keep it much faster than the scope's sweep speed. Thus keeping the switched samples close together so they ... moreappear continuous(called'chopped' mode) For faster sweep rates. The square's sampling rate can be slower. Effectively alternating between top and bottom sweeps(alternate mode) Because the scope would try to synchronize its sweep to the square wave portion rather than the desired input waveform. I have accumulated a big bunch of vintage audio equipment that I was planning to repair when I retired. I opened my tube amp restoration business when I retired and due to the volume of equipment being sent to me for restoration. I will not get to a lot of the stuff I collected, so here is your chance to pick up some cool stuff. You are bidding on a vintage Heathkit AJ33A AM/FM Stereo Tuner. It is probably from the early 60's and one of Heath first transistor tuners. This was built by a good friend of mine who is an electrical engineer and designs medical equipment. It has been around a little as you can see from the wood case and scratched and loose veneer. Most can be fixed easily with a little glue and some refinishing. You are buying this AS IS as I did power it up and hooked a 10 inch ant to the FM. It received about 10 stations ... morebut the stereo light didn't come on.
