Laffayette Signal Generator and Tracer early KT-208
This item is a vintage Lafayette Signal Generator and Tracer. It is probably the early versions of the KT-208. As it does not have that identification on the lower center panel just to the right of Lafayette. The generator covers 250 Khz to 120 Mhz in 5 bands. The generator produces an RF signal, but the calibration is way off. No capacitors have been replaced inside, nor other components checked, and the tubes are the 4 digit industrial versions of the consumer tubes which would have been normally used. I did not check the tracer version. The cabinet has a bit of rust here and there, and the right side has scuff marks as seen in the photo. I don't have any probes or manuals for it. VINTAGE EICO 147A SIGNAL TRACER TUBES 12AX7, 6AQ5, 6X4
Very nice tube signal tracer by Eico. It powers up. And the magic eye lights up. The case is in good condition, a little rust here and there but very presentable. Very clean inside, it looks all original including the tube line up. This is just a single ended tube amplifier, so I did the classic test of touching the AF input and I got the 60Hz hum sound in the speaker, the magic eye changed the semi circle angle as well. That's the extent of test I did. I have the manual in pdf form and I will email it to the auction winner. The manual says that the equipment is a 3 stage transformer powered high gain amplifier with the tubes 12AX7, 6AQ5, 6X4 and 1629(magic eye) tubes. At any rate, if this does not sell, I'm thinking of converting this to a low power tube guitar amplifier. No probes. Sold AS IS. This is a model 147 signal tracer made by EICO. It is in very good to excellent condition as seen from photos. This may be the cleanest 147 I have found. I tested this and it is humming. The filter capacitor needs replacing. It is a 20/20/10/10uf(450/450/350/350V. You could use separate capacitors if desired. This would make an excellent tracer when restored. Supreme Audolyzer (signal tracer) parts for restoration or repair
You are looking at hard to find parts from an old Audolyzer. All these parts are in good. Working condition. They will need cleaning and the power transformer could use a good repainting. The speaker cone is in excellent condition with no tears or holes. All connections to the speaker tested good. For continuity. The voice coil reads 4 ohms. The audio output transformer reads 4 ohms on the output side and 415 ohms on the input side. The Stancor choke tested good with a reading of 299 ohms. The variable capacitor has a good gear/vernier drive that works very well. There is no rubbing of the plates. The power transformer shows no sign of overheating or damage. All windings tested good for continuity. Readings. As follows; Terminals 1-3. 5.5 ohms Terminals 2-6, 538 ohms 2-4, 266 ohms 4-6, 274 ohms. Terminals 8-10.1 ohm Terminals 5-7. 7-9 and ... more5-9.1 ohm each. Also included are a canned component with a shielded cable. The speaker plate and the dial plate. Audolysers rarely come up for sale and I have never seen parts for them. If you have one to restore here is your chance to get going!
