This unit has been carefully cleaned and serviced. The main Power supply(which often fails on these units) has been swapped out relatively recently with a brand new board! This unit has been thoroughly checked out. Aligned and works perfectly(see pics below) The output flatness is outstanding- measured with a power meter to about +/ 0.3dB over the full frequency range. Offered for sale is a perfect working condition(as indicated this unit has a repainted silver top and the knob on the treble slider has been replaced. It is serial number AP3600123S. I am selling this unit(after cleaning and testing it) for the second owner. The instructions shown are copies not the originals. I have copied and pasted some of the reviews for this unit BUT if you know vintage equipment then you already know this is the best of the best! SX-D7000 Receiver— The D7000 is the big brother to the D5000. While being basically the same layout. It is an inch wider and 5 pounds heavier. The biggest reason is the increase in amplifier power, which is rated at 120 watts per channel with less than 0.005% total harmonic distortion. The D7000 also has a few more controls, such as a C speaker switch, tone on-off, turnover controls for the ... morebass and treble, a display dimmer, a second phono input, and a MM/MC phono preamp control. Moving coil phone cartridges were just coming onto the market at that time, and the D7000 was the first Pioneer receiver that could directly connect to an MC cartridge. Or) Bought one new in 1981 and it still kicks butt. The specs are excellent and it sounds sweet driving my AR-90's. I am thinking it is the"D" that confuses people.
