This is a vintage 1953 singer model 15 portable sewing machine with bentwood case and key. The machine has extra bobbins and some other items serial no. AL314039. The singer model 15 or 15-91 as the manual says has a potted motor as shown in the photos which makes it gear driven and a heavy duty machine able to sew canvas and multi layers of denim. There are multiple you tube videos showing its capabilities. It has been oiled with sewing machine oil in all the areas pointed out in the manual.
