A beautiful serving platter by German Porcelain manufacturer C. Tielsch from around the early 1900's One of a long line of German porcelain manufacturers at the original Hutschenreuther Porcelain Factory which started in Hohenberg. Bavaria in 1814. The C. Tielsch Co. located in what had become Silesia, Germany, used the blue underglaze mark beginning around 1875 and continuing into the early 1900's. The Tielsch plates are outstanding for their bright contrasting colors and gold in the decoration. PINK ROSES& LAVENDER FLOWERS This platter done in pink roses and lavender flowers is scalloped with an unusual lined indention in the interior of the platter. This undated brass Blacksmith Token is attributed on its conveyance envelope as Wood 14. But that doesn't seem right, as this piece has on reverse the seven-string harp, as Wood 12. Seems to be Charlton BL-4. I've no idea how to grade these crude pieces; see the enlargeable scans to judge condition for yourself. Scans are shown in the actual orientation(coin or medal) as on the token. This is part of an accumulation of Canadian tokens assembled 25-50 years ago by a veteran collector. On whose behalf I am offering them. There are more than 100 pieces that will be sold over the next couple of months. Most of the pieces are in the original envelopes in which they were purchased many years ago, complete with the selling dealer's identification, notes, etc. Please see the large scans for particulars of the item being offered. These are all in excellent condition and measure 4.25 inches tall and 3 inches wide at the rim. Note(02-24-2014) I have taken the cordials out and inspected each stem again. Each of the 12 does have the Hawkes signature. Actually one is signed twice! 12 1/4" pyrex plate white with lime band and gold trim
I am selling a 12 1/4" lime banded with gold trim Pyrex plate. This plate has been used but is in overall good condition. No chips cracks or breaks.There is one spot where gold trim is not perfect and the lime color has a pin hole where the white shows(see pic# 3) The color is vivid and shiny not faded or dull. The following auction is for 4 vintage Combination Squares. They are used. They are quite dirty and need cleaned up. They show the typical wear of being used. Some have rust spots in them or are tarnished. The Brown& Sharpe shows a bit more wear than the others. They are all 12 inch. Here is what you get. Hull Art Pottery,USA-17, 12 1/4", Tall Magnolia Double Swan Handled Vase
Lovely vintage Hull USA-17-12/14" Vase It is about 7" wide and 12 1/4" tall. Wonderful Matte Vase with swan double handles. A nice compliment to your collection or a very good starter piece. There is 2 spots on the vase that have lost their glaze and color. Both pictured. One at the top lip and one on the bottom of the right handle. There is no chips or cracks. I don't consider these to be chips as the pottery itself is not chipped off. But the sheen and color has worn off of these two spots. Other than that I see a few tiny and very thin black lines here and there. Like a couple pencil like marks. Please see photos and feel free to ask questions.
