A great set of 6 ice cream parlor chairs. This set dates to the early 1900's and is in need of a refinishing. All of the chairs are structurally sound and have a beautiful design to them. The backs have the heart shaped design and the legs are a twist design that end in pad feet. There are losses to the paint on the seats and the metal frames as well as some light surface rust spots. This will easily come off with a light brushing. There are no rotting areas on the metal. There is also what looks like water damage and cracking on some of the wood seats. The chairs measure 36" high at the highest point on the back. A very unique cast iron ice cream table with 4 swinging seats. The table frame has cabriole style heavy legs with lion's head at knees and lion paw feet. Each leg supports a swing-away wooden seat with iron back. All painted white. The original table top is made of cast white glass. The casting is incredible and the table is very sturdy. This table is from the late 1800's, found in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The seat backs are 32 1/2"h and the table is 30"h. I believe these to be American from the owners I purchased them from. It was a wonderful estate sale and the previous owners were collectors and the chairs came from Conneticut. The early New England chairs represented the English made ones; however that is where the English resided.so it's anyone's guess. Despite that.these are very old. The chairs are sturdy. I see no splits in any of their construction. See the picture of the inside of the seat where I believe they could have had these new shapely blocks put in them in the 1800s for more support. The entire chair is handmade and handcarved. Please see the top of ... moreone of the ears, where it looks like it lost a little top edge(extremely minimal) and someone filed it down smoothly(very old filing) It is hardly worth mentioning, but for purists I wish to be as exact as I possibly can. It is not even noticable.but I have to mention it and if that is the worst thing one can criticize for their age.that's pretty doggone good. These are authentic period antiques. Now. Size is wonderful. The seat is so ample and wide being 21" across the front and goes 18 1/4" deep. The legs are thick and strong, see pics how they hand carved them. The back and splats are all intact and comfortable. From ear to ear on top it is 21" wide. The height on the back from floor is 38" Very pretty blue leather seats with NO rips. Vintage Stadium or Theater Six-Person Seats This is a vintage used theater 6 attached seat unit. It has cast iron sides with wooden armrests. Seat and back. It has holes in the feet to secure it to the floor. There is a marking in both end caps inside that says: V 9 7 R L This type is very old looking raised letters that aren’t straight as molded now days would be. There is a piece of veneer missing under one seat. The seats fold up but easily stay down without out popping up as pictured. Each seat back has a chrome metal protective trim that is all in tact just needs cleaned. It has been stored in a warehouse and needs to be cleaned up; there is still gum under some of the seats J. Some scratches. Up for auction I have 2 nice vintage folding fishing/camping seats made with a steel frame and canvas seat. Both of these seats are made in the USA(I am pretty sure) and are probably from around the 50's or 60's? They both function well and can be used as they are quite sturdy. One of them has a small sticker that says Lincoln Folding Furniture and I can see no label on the other. Nice condition for there age and these are nice example. They are about 16" tall x 14" across the seat and 8" deep back to front. Great for the cabin or to display in your store or camping/fishing room. You will like these!
