Pair of Louis XVI Chairs With Cane Seats and Backs and Brass Trim. Medallion trim on front legs and floral plaques on front on each seat. Brass beading surrounds caning on chair backs. Heavy. Solid wood with very nice original finish. Caning is hand woven with a wonderful dark patina. One chair is signed and has some french writing on the bottom as shown in Picture 9. One chair is solid. The other has a slight wiggle to it. There is an old mended crack on one leg as shown in Pic 7. The caning is delicate and has four areas which need restoration, as shown in last three pictures. One shoulder piece is missing underneath seat in Picture 3. From non-smoking home. I have listed this as local pick-up only. But I will quote a shipping price via UPS.

2 Antique Vintage Seats From French Cinema 1940s Theater Chairs Auditorium Red These 1940/50s cinema seats were in a cinema in Issoire(in France) until 1970 when they were used in a non-smoking meeting hall until recently. They have been very well preserved and maintained. There are only this row of 2 seats still available. Which consists of 3 side panels( arm rests) 2 backs, and 2 seats. They easily dismantle for transport. Then easily re-assemble: Stand up two side panels and between them fix a seat slotting it into the slots for the seat on each panel. Fix a back in the same way. Slotting it into the slots for the back. Stand up the third side panel. And between it and the second side panel fix in a seat and back exactly the same as you did for the first seat. In this way the second side panel has a seat and back attached to it on both ... moresides. For stability the 3 side panels now need to be attached to the floor. The seats and the backs are made from wood and foam and covered in leather look material. And the side panels are made from steel. They are very comfortable. Stored the last 25 years or more untouched in a warehouse. I have not even wiped off the dust. They are very good condition. Very sturdy construction yet lightweight. The cream coloured coating over the metal has either rubbed off or worn in parts only due to age and it quite easily to refurb, in fact a full refurb would be very simple and bring them up as new if that is the look you want or keep them as they are for the character. The dark brown seat and back are bakerlite rivited to the frame, with no splits or cracks at all. Parlin & Orendorff tractor or plow seats 19th or early 20th century
Here are 3 seats from Parlin& Orendorff plows or some other farming implement. Most likely horse-drawn since P&O of Canton Illinois operated from the 1850's to 1919 when the company was bought by International Harvester. As you can see from the pictures. One has"Parlin& Orenrdorff Canton Ill. cast into the design of the seat and the other two may or may not have the company name stamped into the rim of the seat, but with the surface rust as it is it's hard to tell for sure. I can feel what seems like a stamping when I run my finger over them. The two"plain" ones have approximately 30" mountings and the fancy one is just the seat with no mount. These would make good barstool seats. The fancy one would be a nice wall hanger, or they could all be good pieces for use in sculpture or folk art. Description: Here is a real nice pair of maple Hitchcock chairs that came from a stately home in Hartford CT. One of those homes where the woman had her portrait hanging over the mantle. Many fine items came out of this home including this nice pair of rush seated chairs. They are unsigned but the style is unmistakable with the turnings and the plugs on the front rail and where the pillow back top rail meets the uprights. I don’t know if this is the original rush seating but both are in very fine shape. It looks like the person who did the rush also used small nails to keep it secured safely. The patina and color of these chairs are both first rate. There are no real issues to mention. These are solid chairs that seem to have been barely sat upon as you can see in my pictures. TIGER OAK ANTIQUE DINING TABLE / 6 CHAIRS COMFORTABLY SEATS 12 BEAUTIFUL
Up for sale today is a beautiful antique tiger oak dining table and six chairs. This table was purchased in the late 1800's/early 1900's by either my great great grand fa ther or my great grandfather(they had the same name) who lived near Chicago. Illinois. This one comfortably seats 12 and will seat more if you care to get closer. I do not know if the chairs are original to the table. They do match and they are the only chairs I have ever seen with the table, but I was not around in the 1800's. The table is in wonderful condition as it has always been used with the original. Thick table pads protecting it and a table cloth over that. My family ha ve always been non-smokers. So there are no burn marks or yellow marks. The table needs a good cleaning, that is all. The chairs show more wear as they don't have protection like ... morethe ta ble. They are still used daily. The cushions have been replaced over the years and are now a fruit pattern. The last picture is of the store label holding the table for my great great grandfather(or great grandfather) This label is still in place under the table top. The table was purchased at Carson Pirie Scott& Co. This is an expanding table with four 10" leaves for adjusting t he size. At it's smalle st. The table is 54" round. At it's largest. It is approximately 94" long. The pads are made in sections so fit whatever size you wish the table to be. Pictures show the table at its smallest. Its largest, and also with three leaves in place. The mechanics for adjustment work smoothly. There are wheels on the base of the table and it rolls easily. Please look carefully at the pictures. This table is well over 100 years old. In my opinion. It shows very minimal wear for its age, but it is not"like new" Please keep in mind that the chairs, having been used for these many years, show much more wear than the table. They have nicks and scratches and the wood needs to be cleaned. More pictures are available should you wish to see them. This t
