We've got tons of stuff to list. First up is this antique primitive vintage hanging kitchen scale. I am unsure of the age. It is in good condition for its age. It does contain surface rust but does not take away. Just adds to the character of this piece. It does work. It measures approximately 32 inches in height. The weighing basket measures 19 inches x 15 inches. This would be great in your primitive or country farmhouse home. I couldn't find a maker. The front of the scale does have New York on it. Vintage Hanson Dairy 60 lb Produce Grocery Vegetable Animal Hanging Basket Scale
I am cleaning out my hoard room(husbands words) so I will be listing different items as I find them. So check out my other listings. I will combine shipping when I can. For your consideration is a hanging scale. I was our county superintendent for the rabbit show for 18 + years and I used this scale to weigh animals. It has weighed everything from rabbits to young children. The scale is made of metal by Hanson. On the face of the scale it reads Hanson Dairy Scale. Model 600, Shubuta, Mississippi, Made in USA. The scales measurers by decimal graduations by tenths up to 60 pounds. The scale itself measures from hanger to hanger 17 1/2" tall by 8 1/2" wide by 1 3/4" tall and is in good condition. Scale has two arms for weighing. Some rust around edges. The basket has three chains that help hang while weighing. Basket measurers ... more18" long by 12 1/2" wide by 6" tall. Chains have some rust. Still usable but rust from being out in weather during shows and from storage. Hanging from top to bottom the scale measurers around 36" tall. This listing is for a vintage wood Coca Cola grocery list holder. The Coca Cola logo and picture are painted on the wood. There are 2 metal hooks at the bottom for holding a pencil or for hanging keys. There is a slot in the wood on the back for hanging it on the wall. It measures 15 7/8" inches long and 4 7/16" inches across. There are 12 pages on it. One of the pages has a phone# written on it and it looks like a very old phone# if that is what it is. The part that holds the paper is a wood and screw type clamp so the paper can easily be replaced when it is all used up. One edge of all of all the papers is cut crooked. It is in good condition. This old paper advertising piece is made in the shape of a lighthouse. The top looks like a captain's wheel and there are anchor graphics on it as well. There is edgewear and discoloration. New Jersey before going out of business back in the 70's. After that it sat for a while in the attic until I decided to use it for weighing packages I have to mail. The scale is very accurate down to the ounce. It has a capacity of 20 lbs. I just painted the bucket black not to long ago. It used to be a greenish color. The scale itself was originally black and I was thinking about painting to also, but time got the best of me. The chain does show signs of rusting and the screws are a bit rusty too, but apart from that you are looking at a Vintage Detecto working Classic scale. Don't miss out.
