This scale works as if it is brand new. It uses a 9 volt battery which will be included. The calculator used for testing in the pictures WILL NOT be included! The pictures show the top. Vintage Hanson USA 500 Gram Pharmacy - Kitchen Scale
This is an excellent example of a vintage Hanson USA of Chicago. 500 gram graduated pharmacy or kitchen scale, circa 1940's. All parts are original, in working order, and in excellent condition for age. The face of the scale is graduated into 1 gram increments with an easy zero reset and measures 6 5/8 inches in diameter. All index marks are clear and easy to read. The weighing tray is 5 1/2 inches square. Overall, when completely assembled the scale is 9 1/4 inches tall x 6 5/8 inches wide x 6 inches deep. The weight of this piece is 4 pounds. There are some scratches in the paint and minor rust spots, which is to be expected for the use and age of this piece.
