please see photos for condition 6.0 FINE(FN) An above-average copy that shows minor wear but is still relatively flat and clean with no significant creasing or other serious defects. Eye appeal is somewhat reduced because of slight surface wear and the accumulation of small defects. Especially on the spine and edges. A FINE condition comic book appears to have been read a few times and has been handled with moderate care. Some accumulation of minor bindery defects is allowed. Minor cover wear apparent, with minor to moderate creases. Inks show a significant reduction in reflectivity. Blunted corners are more common, as is minor staining, soiling, discoloration, and/or foxing. Stamped or inked arrival dates may be present. A minor spine roll is allowed. There can also be a 1/4" spine split or severe color break. Staples may show minor ... morediscoloration. Minor staple tears and a few slight stress lines may be present, as well as minor rust migration. In rare cases, a comic was not stapled at the bindery and therefore has a missing staple; this is not considered a defect. Any staple can be replaced on books up to Fine, but only vintage staples can be used on books from Very Fine to Near Mint. Mint books must have original staples. Paper is(no worse than) brown to tan and fairly supple with no signs of brittleness. No hint of acidity in the odor of the newsprint. Minor interior tears at the margin may be present. Centerfold may be loose but not detached. This grading is just my opinion. grading is subjective please use the photos and ask questions to determine grading. Very nice Bronze age issues. I actually collect this title and I would be just fine with these in my collection Issue#169– Definitely NM. I’d call it a 9.0/9.2 Issue#170– A couple of creases. Some fingerprint marks, still nice I’d call it a 7.6 Issue#184– couple of creases. One big crease on cover still a 7.8/8.0, Great…I just went to put it in the plastic and caused a 4-6 mm tear on the left edge of front cover so down 4-tenths Issue#193– only a small crease or two…an 8.6 There are No rips. Dog ears, profound stress marks, rusty staples just a few creases when held up to light and an edge wear here and there and a spine stress mark upon close examination.

BRAVE AND THE BOLD#42(DC 1962) Silver Age HAWKMAN and HAWKGIRL. First book of the second try-out series in this title. FINE condition. This is a sharp looking copy of this magazine with excellent color and original gloss. The spine and staples look nice. But there are a few handling tics and at the bottom there is a small 3/8" split. At the top right corner there is a small crease that penetrates to the interior pages and at the upper half of the right edge there are a few partial creases. At the"W" in"Hawkman" there are some numbers written in pencil. The back cover shows some very faint browning along the edges. The inside covers have some browning along the edges. The interior pages look cream with a hint of browning along the bottom edge in some. It's a well-above average copy.
