This is a great Mid Century footstool in amazing condition. Original vinyl with only one nick.see the picture. Nothing that will detract from the cool factor of this footstool though. The black metal portions are a bit pitted with some rust. But can easily be removed with only 4 screws, be repainted and reassembled. The metal feet screw off and are all a bit tarnished. It has a wooden handle and unique wavy arrow kind of design in the center. It stands on three legs or feet. The handle has a piece purposely cut away closest to the trivet(see pictures 5/6) perhaps to allow a larger pot or iron to rest on the trivet. It measures approximately 10" long including the handle and 4 1/2" at the widest point, and it stands about 1 3/4" tall. It has some minor surface rust but is otherwise in excellent condition. Offered is a wonderful old Primitive Candle Stand Table. I'm quite certain it is antique and appears to be all handmade. I'm not real familiar with wood types but it has nice grain similiar to oak but the peice is light in weight as I'm sure the wood has dried over its years so if I had to guess maybe a mahogany wood. There are 3 legs that look like wish bones in shape. Theres a turned center spindle that's peg goes through a hammered Iron peice and a wood block and it has a wood pin on its top side. Its a very primitive style of attachment but it allows the top to spin but it also give looseness so the top is a little wobbly but could easily be shored up if desired with a little wedge of cardboard or wood. The top has a slight lip around its edge. On the underside of table top and underneath the legs its marked with the name ... moreor word"FOOSE" Its a great old little table for Primitive Style decor. The condition is good but the wood top and legs have some normal scuffs, dings and scratches associtated to its old age and use. It height is 20 1/2" off floor and the top is 11 1/2" across center.
