Antique Stackable Sectional Book Case Display Globe Wenicke Co. 5 Piece Wooden
Up for sale today. I am offering an antique stackable sectional book case. This is a beautiful antique. The wood is all original. To me, it looks like mahogany but I cannot be sure. The wood has some cracking and wear that is typical with wooden antiques. However, they are pretty solid and still in great condition, especially for their age. These all stack in a specific order. They look wonderful when all stacked together. A couple of these still have their The Globe Wernicke Co stickers on them. The glass is in great condition on all the sections as well. The top section has two knobs. Sections 2-4 have one knob in the center of the front. The last section has one knob on one side and it seems as if there is a missing knob on the opposite side. The second section down has a piece of wood that has fallen from the inside but it looks like ... moreall it needs is a screw and it should go back up. This is a beautiful unit, a truly excellent addition to any collection. When all put together it measures 66 1/2" tall x 34" wide x 9 3/4" deep. Mid Century Danish Modern teak low profile bookcase/shelf with adjustable shelves. The legs are supported with braces so it doesn't wobble. This has tracks that once held two glass doors. But the glass was not with this when I bought it. This has some slight marks from use on the top as seen in pics 5& 6 and a scratch that is hardly noticeable in pic 7 at the top right corner. Cherished Teddies Nursery Rhymes Book display Just the display. Not the background this display is not new. I believe the colors are lighter than they should be. I have done some cleaning on this stand but there are still some spots that just will not get cleaned. I think that it might have been stored in an dirty or moldy area. The spots are over the books some places worse than others, making the books look a little dingy in some areas There are light scratches on the books most only show when the light catches them right. there are some black marks on"mary mary quite contary" on the top of the book and the edge of the book(spine) Little bo Peep, has wear(to the white) on the edge of the spine and on the top of the book that is on the front of the display. Little Miss Muffet, has wear on the front corner(top of the spine) and ... morelines/marks on the spine. Little Jack Homer, was wear to the white on the front corner. Jack and Jill, was marks on the top of the book that are down to the white and marks on the spine down to the white. The corners have been worn down to the white in most areas. Vintage Bulova Accutron Jewelers/Watchmakers Display Case & Bulova Guide Book
This is a nice Accutron Display Case as used in a watch repair store. It is wooden with a plastic drawer that fits in from the back. The front has a metal“Accutron The Most Accurate Watch In The World” on it and the top has a information sheet with a heavy glass panel that fits over it. The glass has a chip on one corner(see photos) The bottom has a masonite board on it(see photos) The drawer has one corner that has a small hole in one of the trays. The drawer was probably used for Accutron parts. The plastic tray is in pretty nice condition with no splits in the plastic(other than the small hole as above) The sheet with the information on it(that fits under the glass) has some wear with some soiling on the edges. The colors are good and there are no tears in it. The case measures approx 11 7/8” long. Approx 9 1/2” deep and approx 4 1/8” ... morehigh. This is a great vintage display case that is not easy to find. Especially in this nice condition! There is also a Bulova Accutron Accuquarz and Caravelle guide to regulation and power cell replacement published in 1974 by Bulova Watch Co that has 25 pages. ANTIQUE OAK COUNTRY STORE DISPLAY CABINET SHOW CASE BARRISTER BOOK 5pc. STACKING
Just acquired out of a Private. Midwest estate, we are able to offer this exceptionally nice, ~ circa 1910 era OAK STORE DISPLAY CABINET ~. This unusual display cabinet stacks like a barrister bookcase, and has 5 sections. There are three larger middle sections and it has a base and crown. It is a very well made cabinet, with drawers that are dovetailed, front and back. The estate where this was acquired from, was fairly certain that it is from the old Historic Lion's department store that was in downtown Toledo, in the early 1900's. This cabinet was used to display clothing, and it even has one of the old ~ GARTERS~ tag, still in the door front. It is a nice large size measuring 7 feet 9 inches tall by just over 4 feet wide and is 27 inches deep. There are 18"glass front" drawers that measure about 15 inches wide by 4 inches ... moretall by 25 inches deep. Each drawer has a brass tag on the top front, to place a label showing what is in the drawer. There are also several slots for dividers, in every drawer to help you keep your items separated- see picture# 12. The top two" Glass Front" sections open like the barrister bookcases you see. They measure 14 inches tall by 25 inches deep by 47 inches wide. The bottom" Two Sliding Doors" is for storage to hold your extra inventory, and it measures 18 inches tall by 47 inches wide. The nice thing is, that it is just under 8 feet tall, so it would fit in most homes or businesses. The front is mostly all quarter sawn" solid" oak and the sides are oak as well as a secondary wood. This cabinet would have been displayed, side by side, with other cabinets. It is certainly the only one like it that we have ever seen, and is really a wonderful antique display cabinet. The over all condition is pretty good with some expected wear from age and use. It displays wonderfully and has a fabulous look! All of the glass is in good condition with no cracks. It's made of steel. It HAS ALL OF the parts book or catalog holders and both of its"wings" Very very rare to find with book holders. The rack will be perfect for your car display or a must for a replica parts department. Very nice display paint. The side surfaces are very nice. But the working area(top) has scratches from years of use, and the wing pieces have scratches and chips. The paint is still shiny and there aren't any dents. Up for bid is an Antique Oak. Drop Front Desk/ Book Case/ Vintage Secretary. It has a flat glass door on the left side with 4 adjustable shelves inside, not counting the bottom/5th shelf. The right side has a 10 1/2 X 11 1/2 Mirror on top, then a drop front desk with 6 small pigeon hole shelves& 1 small drawer. Under drop front there is 1 pull out drawer& under that there is large door with 1 more shelf plus the bottom which totals 2 shelves. This Secretary stands 67" tall, measures 39" across the front and 14" deep from the front to the back. It's in very good vintage condition for it's age& will hold a great deal of items. The Back has written in black"J D Westcott Newport NJ Troley(Trolley is misspelled) This item was likely delivered by Trolley back in the early 1900's" This Beautiful Antique ... moreOak Secretary/Desk is in Very Good Vintage Condition for it's 75-100+ year age. The Mirror has age stains/spots& is slightly loose in the framing. The original wheels on the bottom are in very good condition& still work well. The Shelves are sturdy& Most of the screws& the metal brackets that hold the shelving are modern. The 4 lock/key holes& some of the other hardware are original to my knowledge. But I have not found the correct key for the locks. I believe the Glass Door still has the original Glass. The Drop Down door for the desk is divided into 2 sections with a slight opening in between the top& bottom decorated with fancy wood applique designs. My Mother had this desk refinished in the 1960's which is why it's in such good looking condition today. It's been well cared for over the years.
