It is a large book of delightful illustrations. The book measures 9 1/2 inches X 12 1/2 inches. There are 20 pages counting the front and back covers. Most of the illustrations are in color and there is text that contins poems that are written in heavy black dialect and are related to the illustrations. Condition: The front and back covers have pulled away from the spine. The front cover has two areas where there are blemishes. Someone placed tape on the front covers many years ago. The tape is not there now. But the residue from it is. The back cover has the same residue from the tape. The corners and edges have wear to them. The rest of the pages are attached to the spine. It has a raised figural pub scene in the bowl with a crest like tip of the handle depicting lions on either side with a crown on top. Chris McGuire's Manufacturer: Jackson China User: Chris McGuire's Pub Date: 1969 Maroon on a white background. The Bradenton location of Chris McGuire's Pub opened in the first week of September. 1968, on 26th Street. Exact address unknown. Chris McGuire is Christine McGuire of the McGuire Sisters. The ornate decor on the plate may have been designed or selected by Christine herself. As a friend later told the Sarasota Herald-Tribune that she'd designed the pub's fancy decor. The slanted signature above the crest may have been an affectation. One Chris Mcguire's Pub was located in Bradenton. Florida in the 1960s. Although this plate is dated S10(October 1969) the McGuires seemed to have owned more than one business venture in Florida. According to a 1986 People magazine article about the sisters. The Stroh's Mirror is item# 81438 and is in excellent condition. The mirror itself has no damage and the foil is all intact and smooth. The frame is nice and solid but does have a very small rough spot on one corner(see photo) It measures 14.5" wide x 20.5" tall. The Stroh Light Mirror is item#8182-18F and is excellent conditions well. There is some minor wrinkling to the foil on the mirror portion but no tears. It measures approximately 2.5 inches or 6.4 cm high and 5.6 inches or 14.25 cm at its widest.
