Does not go deep, can not feel the crack from the front. The Sign is very cool. Has nice Faux Stain-glass look to the Front. The Sign has no cracks on the casing. It does have scratches. Collectible, 1943, children’s painting/coloring book entitled, WET A BRUSH AND BRING OUT COLORS” 364 published by The Saalfield Pub. Co. Akron, OH. It has 32 pages, 3 of which were partially colored. This children’s coloring book is oversized and measures approx 15¼” x 10 5/8” so postage will be a factor. I took pictures of the cover(both sides) and random pages inside to give you an idea of its content. I would say it is in very good condition for its age, with some edge wear, some writing on the cover, and a small hole going thru the front cover and edges of pages(see images) but not thru the back cover to be accurate. The impressive cover still has very nice color and there are no pages ... moremissing from this book. The building is“The Jolly Cobbler” Free House. Which appears to be a pub. There are cartoon-style people outside the building, including a group drinking at a table, a man carting a drunk away in a wheelbarrow, a worker unloading barrels of spirits from a wagon, etc. Wonderful! The tin has fairly light signs of wear and use. There are a few light scratches. Light handling marks, light soiling, a couple minor dents/dings, etc. Some light price sticker residue on upper back side. Metal rims have some slight darkening. Excellent original 1930's Advertising/ Pub Jug for: MANN CROSSMAN& PAULIN LTD* Made by: Shorter Bros- Elephant Pottery- SE1(London) Underglaze transfer printed in black on either side with a farmyard scene. The handle and rim have been finished in gilt trim. This decorative jug is in excellent original condition. There are no chips, cracks, crazing or repairs and the inside is clean and unstained. There is minor wear to the gilt rim and handle on one side consistent with age and use- see pictures. Mann Crossman& Paulin Limited was taken over by Watney Combe and Reid in 1958 to become Watney Mann. This delightful little jug dates from circa 1935-1940.
