You are looking at a lightly used Falcon Coastal XG Redfish Caster bait cast rod. Length is 7' Includes 7 chrome plated guides w/tip, cork handle with a Fuji reel seat with exposed blank. This rod is rated for 12- 20 lb. test line and 1/4- 3/4 oz. lures. The guides are in excellent condition with no cracks in the inserts, and the cork handle is in excellent condition and has been cleaned using denatured alcohol. 10% of this rod's use has been in saltwater and the rest in freshwater. Abbey & Imbrie Bait Caster made by Julius Vom Hofe
This is a small nickel plated bait casting reel that Julius Vom Hofe made for Abbey& Imbrie. The face plate is imprinted with name of Abbey& Imbrie N.Y. and immediately under is the PAT Nov 17 85 Oct 8 1889. The bottom of foot is imprinted with a number that appears to be either 97c or 970. It measures approximately 2 1/4" in diameter and approx. 1 3/8" across. Measured inside to inside. Screw heads are acceptable and there is a minimal loss of plating. The face plate has one very small ding at roughly 9 o'clock position. The reel is in excellent condition from mechanical viewpoint.clicker is strong. ITEM DESCRIPTION: This is a Stub Caster fishing rod. It remains in nice shape with some age tarnish to the metal. The rod blank is a little loose in the handle portion. But it could easily be glued in place. I didn't do it because I don't know if that's how they came or not. The marbled plastic has no chips, only some scratches as can be expected. There are some dings to the metal itself, but nothing real deep. Stub Casters are very unique and desirable fishing rods that have increasingly become harder to find. This is a small Thomas J Conroy bait casting reel made by Julius Vom Hofe. As you can see from the pics. Both names are imprinted on the face plate. If you have questions, do not hesitate to ask. The bottom of the foot has the number 3 1/2 imprinted. It measures approximately 2 1/4" in diameter and 1 3/8" across, measured inside to inside. It's nickel plated/hard rubber with only slight wear to the nickel plating(most on the handle) There is a small chip on the edge of the tail plate around the 7 o'clock position. Overall it's very nice in appearance. This is an auction for an older Penn Long Beach 259 Live Bait Caster saltwater fishing reel.Good condition. Rare reel with minor wear on the cross posts and reel seat. Clean throughout. No chips or cracks on side plates. Worn clicker. Turns free and easy. Solid black side plates. At first glance. The reel looks like a Penn Senator 3/0. It is not. Rare reel that is great as a collectible, but has one defect: the previous owner etched his name in the chrome ring, which will detract from the value.
