Vintage Seth Thomas Clock The Console Mantle 4506 Movement Tambour Case Mahogany
This Seth Thomas clock came from an auction in Vermont. The face is marked Seth Thomas. The back door has an ad glued on. Not sure if this came with the clock or not, it reads The Console- rich brown mahogany case with diagonally matched veneer. Die-cut numerals and gold colored hands. Choice of self-starting electric or 8 day pendulum movement. Strikes hours and half hours. This is a pendulum movement. The inside back of the door has the instructions. The clocks run well, keeps good time. It strikes on the hour and on the half hour. I am not sure if all the parts are original. The key is not the original. The clock has wear marks, see the 2nd and all pictures. The brass ring around the glass face covering has wear. This antique or vintage Sessions mantel/shelf clock chimes on each quarter hour and additionally chimes the number for the hour. It has a reddish brown Mahogany? case with lighter wood decorating the lower front case. From the research I have done. This clock is probably circa 1927 or early 30s. This clock received very good care as it in a beauty. It has a brass bezel, convex glass, silvered face with raised Arabic numerals, 2 key posts, a silent chime post, and decorative black hands. SESSIONS, MADE IN U.S.A. is on the face dial; On the movement is THE SESSIONS CLOCK CO. FORESTVILLE, CONN. U.S.A. PATENT NO. 1700506. There is a paper label with some staining on the inner back door which states WESTMINISTER A 3011 and instructions for chiming, regulating, silencing the chime, etc. It has a Sessions pendulum and a very old large key I found ... morethat fits the posts. This is a 3/4 Westminster chiming mantle clock made by the Hamberg American Clock Co. in Wurttemberg. Germany ca. 1910-1930. The clock runs and keeps time with no guarantee. It chimes the hour on the hour and chimes the Westminster chimes on the quarter hour on rods. It has an indicator dial which is silvered with engraved Arabic numerals and shows chime or silent and fast or slow. The front door has beveled glass. The case is mahogany with a band inlay. I am selling this STUNNING 1950's Desk/ Alarm Clock from the German manufacturer JERGER in an ART DECO shape. The cooperation between Jerger and Anker is quite special because Anker used to focus mainly on larger High Quality clocks. This clock is in a full original condition and it comes in an absolutely fabulous brass body with a deep pearlescent dial. The movement runs great. This clock is a jewel on a modern desk! It comes with Arabic numbers in the same style as the rest of the clock. The dial is divided into 60 partitions; 1 for each minute. The hands are made of chromed metal as well and are glowing in the dark. As the numbers dots do. At night this gives an amazing appearance. The front has thick glass window. The cover of the movement. At the back, is made of the same brass colour as the front of the clock, which makes it well ... morebalanced. Of course the makers. JERGER and ANKER are there on the dial. Hi. Here for auction is a beautiful Mikasa Crystal desk or mantle clock.This version is called the Cotillion, and has a frosted column on either side of the gold tone clock face. Face has roman numerals. Beautifully cut full lead crystal, with attractive leaf type pattern. The clock works great, and is running. Measures 4" wide x 3 5/8" tall x 1 1/2" deep.
