The unit otherwise appears to function, powers up and responds to light.I had to power the unit up with the battery pack uninstalled. I wanted to show the unit working and as I had last used it over 7 years ago my last memory was that it worked just fine. I had at that time replaced the batteries, but the problem with nicads is they die if let to fully discharge. It is easy 4 case screws and the unit un plugs. I have these two Tektronix 475 200Mhz oscilloscopes that I tested with a 1usec pulse width at 10usec pri and they seem to work very well on both channels. I will say I cannot and did not test all the features of these scopes but I have no reason to believe there are any issues at all. Display is bright and focus is good. I will provide a X10 scope probe and one 50 ohm cable with each unit. One has a pouch on top. It is clean where most are filthy.
