What happens is the printer tries to fill the ink reservoirs or whatever from the cartridges& can’t get all the colors filled so it overcompensates with the ones it can fill- basically black. When the reservoir is full it sends the ink to the maintenance cartridge which is a filter thing that just fills up with ink. this just continues until the maint. Cartridge is full. When that gets full then it needs to be replaced as well as the print head. No local Canon service provider.
