Early Flint/Sandwich Decorated Pattern Glass Tumbler NR
Early I'm not sure if it's aclled flint or sandwich it's very heavy and rings like a bell. I'm not really up on early pressed glass the pattern couls be called sawtooth, it's very well done although it does lean slaghtly to one side from when it was made, it looks to be in perfect condition possibly some slight wer to the gold around the top edge but you really can't notice it, it measures about 4 1/2in. high by about 3 1/4 across the top, if you collect early pressed glass it's a very impressive example and is guaranteed old.

This is true depression blue dinnerware, not as dark as a contemporary cobalt blue… but really striking in color and simplicity of design. I think this plate was used as a dinner plate because there are utensil marks that can be seen. I would say they are minor. The plate measures about 10 ¾ inches in diameter. Attention Egg Plate Collectors! Offered here is a generously-sized clear glass"Tiara" sandwich glass egg plate. In the Chantilly pattern. The condition of this cake plate is excellent. With no chips, cracks, chiggers, repair or scratches. This egg plate weighs 3 lbs. 7oz. or 1 kg. 560 grams and is approximately 3/4" T x 12" diameter. A Bit of History on Sandwich Glass: There are no company marks on Sandwich glass. Originals may be identified by wear marks on the bottom. Molds were crude in originals so the seams are rough-cut. Reproductions are desirable. They are made by one of the companies that made Sandwich glass. Reissued means a company makes a new run of glass from the original mold. A fake is an non- collectible imitation that is not manufactured by one of the companies that makes Sandwich glass. Distinguish the ... morefour kinds. The four glass companies that manufactured Sandwich glass are Anchor Hocking. Duncan and Miller, Indiana and Westmoreland. Indiana Glass manufactured Sandwich glass from the 1920's through the 1930's. From the 1970's to 1998. Tiara Exclusives were molded using Indiana's pattern and some acquired Duncan Miller molds. Look for long separated scrolls beside flowers in a simple pattern. The slightly curved flower is round with plain petals. The scroll is wider at the bottom and shaped like an"M" Colors include clear, teal, white, amber, red, two blues, two greens, orange and purple. The Early American Sandwich glass made from 1924 to 1955 by Duncan Miller is excellent quality. It can be identified by the scrolls which connect in an elongated diamond. Duncan Miller sold some of its molds to Indiana Glass. And thus can be found in Tiara colors. The flowers are detailed with relief. The centers of alternating petals have vertical lines.
