It has been in Henderson State University in Arkadelphia Arkansas since new. They recently auctioned surplus equipment and I purchased it there. I have done some light cleaning and added the industrial strength casters for easy mobility. It is very heavy. But I loaded it onto my trailer with a ramp by myself. Vintage John Boos & Co Butcher Chopping Block Table - Tons of Character Antique
This is a John Boos Vintage Butchers Block table. It came from Owens Store in New Harmony. Indiana. New Harmony is a historic small town in southern Indiana. The town was purchased by Robert Owen, a Welsh Utopian Socialist in 1825. He established a Utopian Socialist Community. This table is well over 150 years old. It had the full original John Boos& Co tag when I purchased it. But it was somewhat damaged in transportation. The last picture is the label before damage. Trust me. I am beyond sick over it. 1950's Mid Century Butcher Block Craftsman Table and 4 Chairs, Cast Iron Base
Hi and thanks for looking at my auction! This dining table is just really cool. It is circa 1950's and one piece I really thought of keeping. This table was originally used in a series of model homes in Huntington Beach. California that were built in the early 1950’s. The next owner bought one of the model homes and kept the table in the house for the next 63 years. This table and chairs is in such great vintage condition it’s hard to believe. The base of the table and framework of the chairs seem to be cast iron. The seating is leather fastened in place by flathead screws(see pictures) and the butcher block top is in fantastic condition. The table is solid and the chairs are surprisingly comfortable because of the leather sling like design. The pictures just to not do this set justice. We are pleased to offer this EXCEPTIONAL. Vintage, tiered side table or nightstand. The table is HEAVY and weighs approximately 60lbs. It is made in butcher block fashion of VERY THICK, pine. The table is in the Tuscan/Spanish style with oversized, turned wood legs. The apron features a carved/incised shield or crest on each of the four sides. The crests are large and are raised. The pattern is an incised harlequin with a star incised at each lined intersection. There are large brass medallions at the upper section of each leg. The top is very thick/substantial as well. It is planked. The legs rest on raised feet. The upper section of the feet are raised above the lower shelf/tier of the table. Vintage Industrial Table - Mid Century - Butcher Block - Desk - Workbench
This is a cool old metal and butcher block wood top industrial table or desk. It has three metal drawers. And the word“LYON” embossed onto the drawer assembly. The finish is a mix of light green paint. And patches of dark green paint, and a fair amount of rust spots throughout. The drawer assembly is grey. The wooden top is a butcher block style. Some of the pieces of wood on the top are slightly warped or uneven, and as you can see in the photos, the finish and patina of the wood top is very patchy and has various shades of wood colors. The right end of the wood top is a lighter shade than the rest of the top– it was sitting outside with another table covering most of it except the area on the right, and is a bit faded. In vintage condition as seen in pictures. The base is an army green steel with 11 drawers. there is some surface rust. But nothing is damaged by any rust. There is a dent on one side as pictured. It is signed under the butcher block top. It is quite heavy, all 11 drawers work fine.As you can see the top is well used with tons of character.I have not cleaned or sanded anything.The measurements are.The butcher block top is approx 27 1/2 in deep.28 in wide.the height is 32 3/4. there are eight 8 x ... more4 in drawers.two 8 x 10, and one 22 x 3.the metal base is 24 1/2 in deep and 25 in wide.Please contact me with any questions you may have.Thanks for looking.
