The legs are robust and short as well as the arms. The torso is longer than the head and the legs. The head stands on a short but strong neck. The face is characterized by the cowrie shells encrusted in the eyes. The triangular nose, and its protruding mouth with lips in the form of lozenge. The straight shoulders are dominated by a cylindrical torso showing navel and penis in relief. Little is known about the art of Gurunsi or Wala and the use and functions of this unusual figure is not known.Objects such as this come from the non-Muslim portion of the population and were probably used as ancestor figures for protection. It is of high quality that any musician will appreciate and enjoy; while at the same time. It would be a beautiful addition to a home, church, school, studio, or auditorium. It makes a GRAND statement both visually and musically! It has a beautiful rich tone. The action is very smooth and comfortable, highly responsive, and with a broad dynamic range that will be appreciated by anyone who plays it. This piano was manufactured in 1903 when Chickering was famous for building one of the finest pianos available. Its construction is vastly more substantial than pianos. Common today, from Asia and Europe. It holds its tuning pitch at A-440 unbelievably well and has always been kept in tune since its re-build. It was rebuilt in 1976 when it received new: strings. Pin-block, tuning pins, hammers,damper felts, re-gilded harp, and had the sound board repaired and re-crowned. There are two ivory key-fronts with small chips(see pictures) and one key with a hairline crack in another ivory key-top; but not on its key-front. There is also a chip about an inch long in the wood at the top of the front leg on the treble end of the piano. The piano has several scuffs and nicks that one might expect of a 110 year old piece of furniture. My wife and I want to downsize. We might consider negotiating a trade for a high quality upright piano of 44” to 50” tall. Successful bidder will be responsible for moving it. I know several quality piano movers if needed. There are a couple light glass water marks. A small ding in one corner of the table and a couple light scratches. Other than that it is perfect. 700c RST Suspension Fork - Red - On Sale!
Up for grabs is used 700c RST CT-COM 1 Suspension Fork. Beautiful metallic red color with silver stanchions. Fork is not disc-compatible and is designed to be used with rim brakes. Brake bosses are included. Appears to have about 80mm of travel, just enough to take the edge off those evil pot holes and pesky gravel roads. Spring fork has preload adjustments on both stanchions. 1-1/8" straight steerer tube measures 6-1/2 inches long with the top inch being threaded.
