This instrument is in fabulous shape for such an old instrument. Look at the label on the headstock. Not a mark on it. It features a lovely vellum head. Open back, traditional friction pegs, a bone nut, original canvas case with fully working zipper, brand new Martin fluorocarbon strings. I have given this instrument a pro set up. It is LOUD. Bright and very playable. It is NOT a high-end banjolele. But a very decent one by Kay. While known for"che apies" this one is definitely NOT a cheapy. But a n economy model. Banjoleles are just plain fun. If you don't have one yet. Here's a chance to own a Golden Age American made banjo uke that won't kill your ... morepocketbook. THIS JUST IN from an anonymous Ebayer who does seem to know an awful lot about banjo leles. This banjo uke is from the 1950s at the earliest and is probably from the late 1950s going by the finish. The Kay logo on the head stock is what dates it. Kay only started using that logo in the mid 50s. The tuners are an additional piece of evidence. The three that are the same are from the 1950s. The banjo uke wasn't even invented until 1917 and Kay was founded in 1931 and that logo is from about 1956 or later" T his according to his re search. If the fella tells who h e is.
