Chicago. Burlington& Quincy/ Union Pacific Railroad Joint Brass Ticket Dater Die This is a joint. Brass ticket dater die from the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy and Union Pacific Railroads for Lincoln, Nebraska. A s can be seen in the photos. It is in very good condition. NOTE: The image has been reversed for viewing) In the past. These types of dies were placed in ticket validator machines that were used by mostly all of the passenger railroads/railways to stamp tickets used by travelers. In the future, I will be offering many other dater dies that were recently purchased from a long-time collector's estate sale. Overland brass OMI Union Pacific SD40-2 custom painted
Custom painted Overland models brass Union pacific SD-40-2 that has a couple hours run time on it. Runs well. Paint job is good, has window glazing installed and Kadee#5 couplers. It is missing one of the front windshield wipers, I am sure a replacement could be found pretty easily and installed. The paint is Scalecoat UP Harbor Mist Gray and UP Armor Yellow. Comes with original box and packing. This is a tower drive and again runs well.

Very Unique Civil War Era Brass Kepi Buckle- Likely for a Union Officer
Dug in the vicinity of Fredericksburg. Virginia, this is a very unique(in my opinion) possibly custom made kepi buckle. My best guess is that it may have adorned a Union officer's kepi band. Fredericksburg was the site of a ferocious battle fought from December 11th to the 15th of 1862, which resulted in a resounding victory for Confederate General Robert E. Lee's Army of Northern Virginia. The buckle is somewhat larger than the standard Union version(measures approximately 19 by 26.8 mm) and is decorated along the outer and inner edges with hatch marks. It has a slight body bend, but this hardly attracts from its' attractiveness, which is accentuated by its' woods- brown patina. The Spittoon is made of Brass(or perhaps copper) it has been well used with some dings and spots consistent with age and use. It is in over all GOOD Cond. with no major damage. The inside is blackened but could be cleaned up some. Your choice. The Cuspidor is embossed on both sides"UNION PACIFIC R.R. On one side is attached a Token from"The Chicken Ranch" the infamous brothel( Best Little Whorehouse in Texas) which operated in La Grange Texas from 1905 until 1972. I believe this is an original token(the size is 1 1/2" Stamped on bottom of spittoon is"TROJAN BRAND" and PAT. APPLD FOR. Trojan Brass Manufacturing Co. was charted in 1920. Union ... morePacific Railroad operated a station for the M-K-T line in La Grange 1905- 1950's. The Chicken Ranch brothel tokens were purchased by the customers and given to the girls at the brothel plus tips. The girls kept the tips and the madame took the token and exchanged it for cash. Civil War Relics- Carbine Sling Hook,2 Brass Rivets,Kepi Buckle,Union Staff Etc.
Dug in the vicinity of Cold Harbor. Virginia, this assortment of Civil War relics includes a Union carbine sling hook(hook at end is pushed down and bent slightly) a Union kepi buckle, two brass rivets, a cuff size Union General Staff button(backmark consists of a ring(s) of dots) and a neat two piece button with gilt remaining and what appears to be a chalice holding a leaves as well as two clusters of grapes(one on either side of the chalice- this is just my interpretation of the image) All that I can decipher of the backmark is"EXTRA RICH, but this generally points to the button being of English manufacture. Unfortunately, the shank is missing, but the button displays nicely nonetheless. Cold Harbor was the site of two fierce battles, one in 1862, and the latter in 1864. This group of relics would make a nice addition to any collection.

Up for bid is a H Chapin Union Factory wood& brass level. It is 30" long x 3 1/4" tall x 1 1/4" wide. Both of the vials are intact with a bubble. The brass plates/ plugs are still well attached. There is one place on the edge that has been notched by something. You can see it in one of the pictures. I have not tried to clean this item. But it should clean up very well. Civil War Union Bullseye Rosette & 2 Solid Cast Brass Leather Decorative Devices
Dug in the vicinity of Bermuda Hundred. Virginia, this trio of Civil War artifacts consists of a Union"bullseye" type rosette(in pretty good condition overall save for a couple of minor bent up areas on the rim, and the fact that it is missing its' hooks) as well as two shield shaped solid-cast brass leather decorative devices. Bermuda Hundred was the site of Union General Benjamin"Bully" Butler's headquarters camp and supply depot during his 1864 attempt to capture the Confederate capital of Richmond from the South. These relics would make a nice addition to any collection.

Civil War era brass match safe with engraved eagle. Classic example of all manner of patriotic items sold and used by Civil War soldiers. About 2½ inches long. Spring on the lid works even after all these years. Nice mellow patina to brass. A couple of small dents and the eagle is worn. Even contains two Civil War era Lucifers- match sticks.
