This is stepping out of my normal area of collecting so please bear in mind and please correct me if I get anything wrong as I normally collect from the Span Am war onward. This piece was a recent estate sale purchase from a long time Civil War. Great War, and Third Reich collector who recently passed. let me say the guys collection was immaculate and no repros were to be seen. The gentleman had been collecting stuff since the late 1930s) From what I've been able to identify and from what several of my Civil War collector buddies have told me. This appears to be a custom piece made for a staff officers child. The whole belt is brass, The buttons are a union staff officers. Everything looks to be either lead or silver soldered. No maker marks, inscriptions or hallmarks to be found. You can see the button manufacture hallmarks on their ... morereverse but are impossible to make out between the other brass pieces. The size is pretty small, roughly 22 1/2 in long. About the size for a 5 year old. There is a small brass safety pin soldered to the rear to secure to a uniform. The rest is as they say in the pictures. I'm fairly certain that this is not a post war piece. Cadet item, or Bannerman special just for the fact of the type of items found in the former owners collection. Any questions. Please feel free to contact me. Never used as a tackle box, this chest was used by my grandfather for his clarinet and saxophone supplies. He played Gigs in the Speakeasy's of the Roaring 20's. Collectible and functional. The latch works fine and a nice brass handle on top. Chest could use some TLC- polish the brass and repaint the box and you have a fun mid-20th Century American made utility chest. Up for auction is a LIKE NEW IN THE ORIGINAL BOX PACIFIC FAST MAIL UNION PACIFIC FEF-1 4-8-4 STEAM LOCOMOTIVE AND TENDER in HO Scale. UNPAINTED# 800-819) It has only been removed from the box recently for photos. A quick inspection and track test. Upon inspection every factory applied detail part is firmly attached. Note that the pilot came un-attached from the factory and fits into a grooved slot and simply screws in. There is also a factory applied piece for conversion of the Tender. As for the brass itself, there is a considerable amount of tarnish on this model. It has taken on a very interesting patina as you can tell from the smoke box cover. Other than the tarnish the model is pretty much perfect. There are no scratches or dents of any sort. I gave it a quick test run on the track where it performed very well for such an previously ... moreun-operated model. It performed smoothly but was a little on the noisy side. It features an open frame motor and performed well at all speeds in forward and reverse. The model also features an enclosed cab. There is no lighting on this model. On the detail side this models is in excellent, featuring a nicely detailed pilot amongst other features. Since it has the enclosed cab it has no back-head detail. THE TENDER IS PUNCHED FOR SOUND. It is DC but can be easily adapted to DCC and can easily fitted for sound. Comes with the original box and foam which are in excellent condition. Also comes with the two pictured parts and some coupler pockets. There were 600 of these units imported in 1976.

Nice brass O Scale UP CA-4 Caboose. I have no idea of the manufacturer or anything other than what you can see in the pictures. No original box. I think it looks very good and is. Overall, a very nice model. Both couplers are there and have a centering wire attached. The marker lights are all present but one jewel is missing. Windows all have glazing installed although one is a little damaged and most of the others a little hazy with some finger prints apparent. If you like 2 rail O Scale Union Pacific cabooses this is good buy. I paid over twice the starting bid amount for it.

I am thinning out my collection and this Soho Brass Union Pacific#50 double headed gas turbine is no longer needed. It has been remotored with an A-Line can motor and dual flywheels using some Athearn components. It has a powered light on the lower headlight on one side only. A old brass spittoon. A vintage 1960's or 1970's it em in good condition. This item stands 9 and 1/2 inches tall. Has a 4 and 7/8 inch base and is 9 inches across the top. Its slightly dented body has a nice dark mellow yellow golden patina. Its total weight is 2 pounds 1.2 ounces. This one looks very nice without polishing.
