After comparing this model to others by the same company, I believe that this scale dates to somewhere in the 1920s-1930s, possibly earlier. It has so much antique charm and will be a wonderful addition to any home and decor. This antique is in good condition. But with plenty of age appropriate wear. It is in great working order, just shows overall patina, wear to the metal, etc. The wear is all in the appearance which actually makes it so charming! Used for about two months. Works but sometimes it seems to get into a fussy mood and is up to 10oz off. When it isn't fussy. It's a very nice scale and very accurate(compared to post office scales) Maybe it's just because it's new and it isn't"broken in" yet? Sometimes I turn it on and without anything on the scale. It starts incrementing up for about a minute, and it stops at a weight between 0-10 oz. Vintage miniature postal scale made by Thompson Engineering back in the 1930's-50's when a stamp only cost 3¢. This Art Deco styled miniature scale still works in an ingenious way. Simply unscrew the top and a metal rod pops up with markings from 0 to 8 oz. Invert the top and pop it onto the rod- and now you have a working postage scale. For sale is a Pitney Bowes P700 Postage Meter and Scale. The Pitney Bowes P700 mailing system is a printer specifically designed for addressing. Weighing, and printing onto envelopes. This is used but is in working condition. During the move this leaked a little red ink. I have done my best to clean most of the ink up. There may still be a little inside the unit(may need a couple cycles run through) Please see pictures for details. I am not sure how much ink is left. Ink can be purchased for around $10 online.
