In 1950 there was a Company in Staffordshire that created this very rare.and detailed scaled replica of the original. The measurements of the model is 10.75" tall. 7" wide and 16" with the pole for the horses(not included) This is a Wonderful Show Piece and is in great condition! Below is a photo of an original Royal Mail Coach which is preserved at the London Science Museum The mail coaches were originally designed for a driver. What a very cool scale and still accurate. As shown. I put a tape measure on the digital USPS scale and it weighed 3.7 pounds. And it registered the same on the analog scale; although the analog scale is in 1/2 ounces. Measures about 5" tall and 9 1/2" long. The scale itself weighs just about 3 pounds. The cover measures approximately 28cm x 13cm. Unfolded the maps measure approximately 100cm x 82cm. In remarkably good condition for it's age with lovely vivid colours. Bachmann Royal Blue G Scale Train Set Mail Car Electrically Operated 4-6-0
This a fairly decant set. It has the track and locomotive and tender car. A mail car with the door off but I have the door. It also has a passenger car. It has the power pack and does work. In forward and reverse. It has some corrosion on the front wheels and track and it took me a little to get going but once I did it worked really good. I ran it for about 1/2 hour at different speeds to make sure it was ok. It does work fairly good but does need some restoration on it. There is some track lifts as well. The tender car looks to have a slot for a battery back but I do not have that. The bell is missing from the locomotive but the light does work. It says it whistles and blows smoke but I do not have the manual and have never had one of these so I'm not going to mess with that. That part may or may not work! The appearance of the train ... moreis really good so it does look nice. Over all condition is really good. It may or may not be missing some small pieces. I don't know but it looks to be all there for the most part. The original is in poor condition so if you do not want that I can ship it cheaper. Do enjoy. Bachmann Blue Comet G Scale Train Set Mail Car Electrically Operated 4-6-0
This a fairly decant set. Missing most of the strait track. The locomotives& cars are all in really good condition and work. They are the metal wheeled cars. The battery pack is in the tender car. The train set is basically new and doesn't look to have been used much. I ran the train around the track in both directions to make sure it was in working condition and it does work good. The box is ok and it does come with a cassette tape of train sounds. So it's old enough to have a cassette tape in it. It looks to be all there but may be missing something I'm not aware of. The little metal clip that attaches to the track broke off when I unhooked it but those are replaceable and a minor issue. For the most part it's a really nice train.
