Vintage cowboy style saddle bags. Basket weave pattern in dark oiled leather. Silver hardware with out rust or discoloration. The leather looks good on the outside. But on the inside of the flaps there is some discolorations seen in pictures. The discolorations are not severe. Only noticeable on close inspection. I only mention it and take pictures of them because I don't want there to be any surprises. Overall these bags are beautiful, my only complaint is that the hardware is silver but then it has gold color circle hardware where you secure it to the saddle. I guess gold is better to not draw attention to that part but I just like things to be uniform. They are clean and with out rips or tares. Posted with

The canteen has a khaki-colored cloth cover with a strap and 2 metal snaps as a closure. The BSA logo on the front is faded. The cover has wear. Stains and small frayed areas. There is a tear in a section of the strap- tear is about a half the width of the strap. The black snaps work properly, but the paint on the top of them is worn. The canteen itself has many scratches and small dents. The chain and cap are in place, but the rubber seal is split in one spot and is brittle from age. There is some rust on the chain and connector and mineral deposits on the threads of the cap. The snaps have the BSA logo embossed on them. The mess kit includes a fry pan. Pot with lid, and plate. There aren't any utensils. The metals has scratches ... moreand some blackened areas. The cloth cover/bag is olive green with tan trim. There is a black snap that is intact and works properly- some of the black paint is worn off. The BSA logo on the front of the bag is dark and visible. There are some stains and wear on the bag, but there aren't any tears and the bag is in pretty good condition considering it is a vintage piece. The strap is intact with no tears. Not So Modern Drummer Magazine George Lawrence 330* 338# ^% 6035 This is a vintage Gretsch set that I am reluctant to part with. I'm selling much of my vintage collection in order to buy some land in the Smoky Mountains where I will build a vacation cabin and eventually retire. As a former drum shop owner. Publisher and editor of Not So Modern Drummer magazine, and as pro recording and touring drummer, my only goal in collecting vintage drums was to find the best sounding drums. I have never cared about a drum being rare or all original or in"mint" condition. I found most of the"holy grail" instruments on my bucket list over the years and kept them as tools and as investments. Many of my prized possessions that I am selling right now are collector's items, but this one, in particular, is one of the best sounding ... moresets I've ever heard and definitely THE best round badge kit I've been able to find. I used it extensively for jazz and small room gigs, and on a few gigs w Poco. It has been my favorite drum set out of the dozens I've owned and out of the thousands I have played. What am I playing now? Most of my road gigs have rental kits supplied and I endorse Taye drums who have supplied me with all of the gigging and recording drums I need. So time to pass my prize toys on to someone who can use them and appreciate them(cue the violins) I bought this in 1999 from a seller who had babied it. He was the original owner. Not a pro and rarely took it out of the house. The sizes are 14 x20, 14x14, 8x12 and 5.5x 14. The fade of the finish is very even on all the drums except for one place on the bottom of the bass drum that is a little darker. The floor tom is actually a stop sign badge which leads me to believe that the toms and bass were sold after the switch from round badge to stop sign shaped badge was made in 1970. So the small tom and bass drum that are round badge drums were made prior to the switch and were probably made in 1969 and sitting on the shelf of the factory waiting
