Golden Engineering X-Ray Machine Tube Power Source High Voltage Transformer Unit
This is the pulse forming network capacitor charging transformer for an inspector 200 x-ray machine made by golden engineering. It is rated for intermittent duty at 80ma at up to 10KVP. It can run off either 110V 60Hz or 28V 400Hz from a push-pull type inverter. It is much more efficient at 400Hz than at 60Hz. So if you run it at say 100VAC 400Hz using the 110VAC winding, you can run it for longer duration and higher average power than 110VAC 60Hz. The transformer has an integrated diode rectifier as well. This listing is for two(2) Fluke 4216A Programmable Voltage Source units. This equipment came from a joint NASA/ Dept of the Navy missile tracking 40 ft trailer. The trailer was given to a local county by the State of California to use for storage. My partner& I got to keep what equipment etc. was left inside it for cleaning it out. The set of Fluke 4216A's was one of the pieces that was left in it. Please note that both of the 4216A units were issued with the identical serial number. Don't know why- but my thought would be since they were connected together. And meant to be used together. I took the tops off the units, meaning to separate them and sell them individually, but it did not appear to be straight forward to do so, and I decided to sell them together.
