Vintage C. Jorgensen Postmodern Tea Kettle for Bodum 80s
This is a stainless steel tea kettle designed by C. Jorgensen for Bodum. Beautifully crafted in the Postmodern style. It features a laminated teak handle, a stainless steel body with a rimmed base and a row of raised dots near the top which move into the stylized triangular spout and function as rivets. The lid has a conical center with a brass accent and a clear blue finial. This is a functional piece of modernist utilitarian art that you can use or display, and because it is stainless steel, you can easily keep it looking bright and chrome-like. Vintage Scrimshaw Brass Pill Case Collected in Alaska 80s
Pretty vintage brass pillbox with a scrimshaw loon decorating the cover. The box was collected in Alaska in the 80s. Used infrequently and keep on display instead. The 1 1/8" diameter x 3/8" d box has a single hinge on its back and a simple button clasp on its front. Both function well. The scrimshaw appears to be machine generated and very perfect and beautiful. It is etched into bone or a polymer which greatly resembles bone. It is in very good condition with a few small pit marks in the brass at the edge of the scrimshaw which may remove with a brass cleaner. Vintage Compugraphic 7200 Keyboard Layout Booklet from 70s-80s Typesetting
This is a Vintage Compugraphic 7200 Photo Typesetting Machine Keyboard Layout Booklet. This booklet is intact and excellent condition. Each layout is perforated in the book and none have been removed. This is great shape for the collector of these kinds of items. The 7200 used to use hundreds of different type fonts that used to photographically type on a 35mm reel of paper. The paper would then be developed through a machine of chemical solutions. Next the paper would be hung to dry. Waxed, cut and letters/words pasted onto artwork. I know, I used to be a'Paste Up Jockey' as they called us back in the 70s. The keyboard of the machine was the same, so to know what you were typing when using different fonts, you would put these samples in front of you as a guide to type.
