Small Vintage Paragon Q11P Kiln - Max Temp 2300 F /115 Volts
This small kiln measures about 6" x 6" x 6" inside and is about 15" tall. It came out of an estate sale garage and I do not know its history. But it looks like it was used sparingly, being super clean inside. I plugged it in and everything worked fine with all the elements glowing. The outside shows some age from storage. There are a couple hairline cracks in firebrick(see picture) which one would expect in an older kiln, but they do not effect integrity of the kiln. The kiln would make a good jewelry casting burn out oven, for small ceramics or for copper enameling, etc. PayPal only, because of Ebay’s payment policy. This offer is for an authentic WW2-vintage Dual Thermocouple Electric Cylinder Head Temperature Indicator made by Sutton-Horsely of Toronto Canada for the Royal Canadian Air Force. It is identical to the early Type B-11 used by the US Army Air Force in twin engine aircraft such as the A-20 and B-25 bombers. But as opposed to Left/Right engine labels of US aircraft of the era. This one shows Port and Starboard engine labeling. As I understand, several twin engine aircraft designed by US or British firms were manufactured in Canada during the era, including Avro Anson, Bristol Bolingbroke(i.e. Blenheim) Consolidated Cansos(i.e. Catalina) and deHavilland Mosquitos. It is in preserved but experienced condition given its apparent age. The dial markings are clear but aged and the glass and case are intact.
