American Optical 1972 Vietnam Era Sun Glasses Case and pair of AO Sunglasses
Here is an American Optical military sun glasses case marked 1972 which would put it right at the end of the Vietnam war. Sunglasses are marked AO but it is very hard to see and I can't personally make it out but my brother said he can. I'm not sure if this case actually is for these glasses. It seems like a tight fit to me, but they were together when we got them. The glasses are mostly plastic except for the ear pieces, and the plastic covers on them are intact and look good. The lens is somewhat scuffed but no major scratches. We have other vintage glasses in other auctions.

Folding glasses come in a heavy paper wallet. Opened up they are approx 9" long and 3" at widest. Lenses are separated in middle by fabric ribbon that is sewn in to allow for folding.
