The instructions are in the box and are in excellent shape along with the lamp. Color filters, and metal light reduction filter. The bulb in the unit is a Mazda 4534 300W 110V and appears to be burnt out as the filament connectors are dangling. Vintage US Signal Corp J-38 Telegraph Morse Code CW-Ham Radio Keyer
The keyer has J-38 stamped on its Bakelite base under the key paddle. Many say it was from WWII but on the back it looks like this one was manufactured in 1949(see picture) I am not able to tell who made the keyer. But there is part of an emblem printed on the back. According to a web search on the J-38 keyer, there were many different manufactures who made this same keyer for the US Signal Corp. At one time I had this mounted onto a board and was using it for CW Code practice while getting my Ham Radio License and after that. Used the keyer for several contacts. I have owned this keyer since the mid 1980's and am in the process of selling some of my Ham Radio equipment in preparation of moving to a smaller home because of age. Up for bids is this sweet old siren. Only has one wire coming out of it so I have no way of knowing if it fires up but I've been told that these old sirens are pretty solid. If I can't sell it I may monkey with it but for now, I'd like to get it to a collector or someone who knows how to get it going. Model C5LB, volts: 12DC, serial# 2d40d71. RARE Blackpowder cannon 12 gauge Blank shell firing French Repose antique signal
This auction is for an antique 12 gauge black powder blank firing signal cannon. Fires 12 gauge black powder blank shells using a lanyard cord(no cord attached at the moment) Cannon has mounting holes so it can be bolted down. The cord can be any length. 15' to 20' is good, so you are pretty far from cannon when it fires, this makes cannon safe to operate. Very loud when using black powder blank shells. The pin has been replaced, and is a very close fit, maybe not exact. Also, the spring has been replaced. It seems to have plenty of tension to strike a primer but I have not tested it. You can pull the hammer back without worrying about breaking the spring like the other cannons that have the original spring. This is a 426th SIGNAL BATTALION pinback. It is orange and white. The colors traditionally associated with the signal force. Their are four roundels that stand for the four area signal centers that were installed, operated, and maintained by the battalion. The radiant edges represent the emission and transmission of signals, the gold annulets refer to circuit control. The chevron alludes to the mountains of Italy and stands for the battalion’s two campaigns in that country during World War II. Green, white, and red are the Italian national colors. Vintage Wards Western Field Flashlight, C Cell, Signal Button, Works, VG
This great. Vintage. Heavy-duty, chrome steel, Western Field 2 C-cell flashlight is in very good physical and working condition. It throws a bright beam of light. This flashlight measures about 6" long and 1 7/8" in diameter at the head. It uses 2 C-cell batteries(not included) Has a hanger loop. And reflector and bulb. The real glass lens has a significant chip(see photo) but works fine. It has no rust. Gouges, or deep scratches. But it shows minor wear. The slide switch works fine, as does the signal button, to make it flash. The battery compartment is clean. Please ask any questions or request more photos. As with any vintage electrical items. With an all black back side. Believe this is either a PRR or Reading piece, since it was obtained in the Philadelphia area(legally) The weight of blade is near 10 lbs. It measures approximately 42" long, and the base where it attached to spec casting is almost 7" wide& 1" thick, and 9 1/2" wide at fishtail end. Blade is in good condition.
