This is a genuine antique iron signal cannon probably from the mid 1800's or maybe even before that. It is in good condition with great patina and you can tell by the photos by the wear around the hole and the bore that it was used a lot. It barrel measures 9" long and the wheels are 7" tall. Vintage Rayovac Sportsman Lantern Flashlight With Red Signal Made In USA
Up for bid here is a Vintage Rayovac"Sportsman" Lantern Style Flashlight that was made in the USA. It has a red signal flasher on the other end. I got this at an auction and I haven't tested it because I don't have one of those big batteries around. You won't be getting the battery that you see in the photo either. I figured that I should take it off since it makes no sense to ship the weight of a dead battery to you. Well. That was a mistake! HA! Yeah, I had quite a time removing the battery. It was definitely bad and it corroded up around the nut on the positive connection. The nut simply wouldn't turn! But, I got it off and I was able to do it without doing any real damage to the lantern. So, you should be good to go if you get a new battery as long as the lantern works and my guess is that it will. The bulb looks ... moregood and such. But, again I really don't know if this works for sure so you're buying it as-is. You'll see the signs of the corroded battery terminal on the bottom side and my efforts to get the nut off but what I did shouldn't hurt anything. Happy Bidding! Whew. Boy! Yeah, I feel smart. Even without the battery this metal flashlight weighs enough that it will be a 2-3 pound package so a medium flat rate box makes the most sense. So, I could have just shipped it to you with the corroded battery and saved myself all the fun of removing it. Oh, well.can't win them all!
